Hey!
I’ve had 10 sessions of laser and had a few very stubborn spots with coarse hair and some off color red/whites. So started electrolysis. I’ve only done 4 sessions so ~4 hours. Sorry I do not know the details of the electrolysis settings, we have tried adjusting setting and probes. Recent chin area had a better reaction and healing process after changing probes.
I have very sensitive pale skin and very stubborn hair, so bad mix in general. I have never been able to shave against the grain, break outs, in grown hairs, it takes weeks for my face to recover from shaving against the grain. I have rosacea as well. Laser trauma would last several days with a good amount of inflammation.
I do the numbing cream and wrap my face an hour before but god the pain is so bad I can barely make it an hour in a single sitting.
5-9-25: ~1.5 hours total(test half hour done the day before to test for pain tolerance). Had a lot of redness and inflammation, sadly don’t have pictures. Scabbing, a bit of plasma, etc… I used Aloe gel and Cerave healing ointment for 3 weeks + for healing to settle down, still some redness and unevenness. Also I get REAL bad cystic acne formations under nose, this happens whenever my skin is disrupted but has happens real bad ever time we do under my nose.
5-31-25: Second session on upper lip ~1 hour. Same deal, scabbing and plasma. Aloe and cerave similar time period.
I’ve had two other session that hit other parts of my face, but the lip area and upper lip are my concerns for possible damage. I don’t want to get rid of my mustache just to have a red mustache left.
5-31-25 was the last time my upper lip was touched. Most damage appears towards sides.
I can only post one pic as a new account so here is the worst looking side.
Should I go back to laser?
