In summer of 2006 (not this past summer, but the summer before) I had one treatment with an ILP machine at the Laser center that operates out of the UCLA Medical Building. I am Indian with type four skin. The hair was dark, but I got laser induced growth (darker hair and very very coarse) I was a miserable wreck for months. It was my own fault because I did not do my reasearch before jumping into laser. I had high, unrealistic expectations…and jumped into it way too fast without doing my homework.
Then I came to the forum and was suggested electrology by LAgirl (big thank you to you by the way …you really guided me and now I have my life back! THANK YOU). I was sacred and resistant to start the search for an electrologist and start the whole reasaerch process. I finally did it and started electrology in March of 2007. I started with two hours twice a week for 1.5 to 2hours each session on the neck and beard area less my upper lip. Now, I go in twice a month and am almost done with minimal stray hairs that pop up here and there. Its been an journey with its ups and downs…sometimes quite emotional. But each month since last march things have only gotten better and better…and I am confidant that they will continue.
I had a facial hair problem I was masking with threading, then Laser destroyed me emotionally due to the induced gowth with a probelm on my hands much worse than where I began. But now, after elctrology I am doing so well, I changed my screen name to girlwithHOPE! Im almost hair free on my face …and I love it! My face became so much better that I am even getting married now. That was something that I never thought would happen to me after my laser induced beard like hair growth.
There is sooo much hope in electology for those with facial hair problems, and even laser induced growth. It requires patience but after your done with electrology you WILL see results and get your life back. I highly recommend it!
