Hi, I had a test spot done a few months ago and I am thinking of going for a full treatment.
The remaining worry I have is that I think that the shoulder I had my test site might have grown even more hair than before. I don’t exactly remember how much hair was there before, but the one shoulder seems hairier than the other, where no laser was used.
So I have a couple options and would like your opinion:
Go for a full treatment. Even if it is induced, the laser will remove it later on.
Do another test patch on my other shoulder and see if it gets hairier as well.
If I do experience induced growth, does that mean I should forget about laser, or would it still be effective (removing the induced hairs with further treatments)?
It seems to me that the test spot has alot more hair growing there than the spot where no laser was used. I think this can be seen in the photos.
Are you saying that I should go for treatment regardless of induced hair (because the induced hair is coarse enough to be treated as well), or do you mean that you don’t think the hair on my seemingly hairier shoulder was laser induced?
What I am saying is that the hair is coarse to the point that
it should be treated by laser. IHG occurs when finer hairs on upper arms and/or shoulders are treated with improper laser settings. Your hair on the shoulders seem coarse in all pictures.
Yes, based on looking on both sides of your back, I would say that I do not think you have IHG from laser. I also think that you can get treated on both sides with laser, without any risk of further IHG.
Without seeing you, it is quite difficult to make an exact determination. However, your pictures show both sides as being medium/coarse
