Plucking sensation - thermolysis

Hi everyone, I have been getting thermolysis done for a year and a half now on my chin, cheeks, sideburns, and neck . I typically do weekly sessions unless my electrologist or I have a conflict which happens maybe once every few months. I started with 45 minute sessions and dropped down to 30 in the last 6 months. I have been reading that if I feel a plucking sensation the hair isn’t being treated effectively. I’ve noticed that I have the plucking sensation on thicker hairs. If I go two weeks between sessions I’m still getting about 20-30 hairs growing back pretty thickly. For some additional background I did laser prior to this which resulted in more hair growing back. I’ve asked my electrologist about the plucking sensation and she said it’s normal and means the hair isn’t in the right phase. Is the plucking sensation normal for thicker hairs? Should I be completely clear of hair now?
