Plucking hairs stimulated and shaving question

Okay i’m sorry if this question has been asked and answered but i’ve searched many posts and havnt seen an answer, ive heard plucking can stimulate more blood flow therefore could possibly come back thicker and before hearing this i tested it by shaving one side of my mustache and plucking some on the other side and in the area i plucked they are definitely thicker visibly and i can feel that they are aswell as darker, if i stopped touching it and waited for the next hair growth cycle will it remain thicker or return to the state as the rest of them are, i plucked 8 hairs and all 8 feel courser than the side i shaved a little. I’ve also heard that shaving or bleaching can’t stimulate hair because it’s affecting the dead cells but ive also see a pro claim that ANYTHING that causes irritation could potentially stimulate the hair, and in that case is the best option to just trim hairs? i struggle w body hair EVERYWHERE and i mean whole torso and it would take so much time trimming all my stomach and chest hair and facial hair (im a women with pcos also only 16) i’ve tried doing as much research so i wouldn’t waste any hair pros time but ive only seen one person claim shaving could stimulate hair when as everyone else says otherwise but it makes sense to me that any irritation could increase blood flow therefore stimulating hair and it’s known shaving can cause irritation (razer burns, ingrowns)

so basically my question is after plucking made it thicker if i didn’t remove it and just waited for the next growth cycle would it remain thick or return to the state the rest are( they aren’t peach fuzz but lighter and don’t feel as course)

and could shaving in anyway actually stimulate it ?

is bleaching a good option, or is that also risk of it becoming thicker in order to “protect itself”

plucking , waxing, any method which pulls the hair out by the root damages the dermal papillae and will cause courser growth stimulation and ingrown hairs. Shaving and depilatory creams have no such effect.

I feel for you, PCOS is no joke at your age.
Honestly get to know a really good electrologist . You’ll have a long relationship with them. Also PCOS is often dietary related so looking at wht you ear can make a huge difference.

thank you for replying i appreciate it so much, it really is a struggle especially at my age it helps knowing my family deals w it aswell, but it’s really excessive especially on my entire stomach and chest onto my back like everywhere every hair is insanely close with a lot growing multiple hairs it’s not all super dark unless in the right lighting but it’s all way longer than peach fuzz so i fear they will all become the typical terminal hair or maybe are already terminal as true vellous hair can only be seen under a microscope i hear, would it be realistic to want it all gone via electrolysis (ofc if i listened to and kept on the right track of treatment times) or is that unrealistic? i’ve never seen anyone get electrolysis with as much hair as i want removed :frowning:

Shaving will give the illusion that your hair is coarser. Again, once you’ve shaved it. The hair is no longer soft, and it doesn’t have a natural point to it. Shaving makes the hair blunt in texture. It will make it feel thicker to the touch. Same goes with using bleach. The longer you continue to bleach your hair. It is no longer lustrous, it becomes dry and brittle to the touch, and it doesn’t feel good to the touch. I hope this answers your questions.
