Plucked hairs

Hi, all!
Recently I received my first tg client. I’m only 14 months in this business (loving every second of it) but I noticed that it was so easy to work on not-tweezed hairs. Yesterday I worked on a different client - a woman that plucked her chin on a regular basis and it was SO hard to get a release.
Of course I asked her to never again touch her chin with a tweezer.
Will it make any difference or is she “doomed” and treating her will always be that challenging?
Many thanks

To be clear: I’m using two examples of two different types of behavior - plucking vs shaving.

Be it ever so slow, blend is more effective on distorted hair follicles, which if they have plucked alot there are bound to be plenty of.

It’s very rewarding seeing the fast progress you can accomplish with synchro on TG beards and its even more rewarding to see their enthusiasm as the progress from dedicated treatment pays off.

I have one girl who came to me pre-hrt a couple of months ago and said “lets have it off”. She has since then dedicated 1-2 1/2 hours a week since then. The progress from the full face thinning approach has been spectacular. Today I spent an hour and 15 minutes al on her neck. She sucked it up like a trooper, because I’ve proven time and again I make huge progress. But the smile on their face afterwards makes it all worth it. She’s getting the questions now from coworkers…why do you look younger?

I finished her chin today. As I progressed to the sides it began to hurt. I’m not so sure I want to use Emla. I think it creates a dependency and I feel I should “save it” for upper lip and neck. I’m not good at thinning. I just take an area and clear it. Am I wrong? Should I thin the whole face?
Also - some of the hairs, as they slad out - they left a wet hole. I was on a very low setting (upperlip 2 on my apilus senior) and zapped twice. It was a real smooth extraction, but still… What do I do with this? Zap again the empty follicle? Do not want to cause any damage!!

Thank you for the support. Don’t know what I’d do without you.

If a hair has not released properly, then quite often I will do a pulse in the empty follicle yes. Not having the hair itself in the way, the energy has a chance to access the vital areas of the follicle without interference. It’s called the “pre-epilation re-entry technique” or “PERT” ( actually not exactly, since we do treat the hair beforehand, it’s just in my judgement that pretreatment wasnt successful, or I wouldnt do it) . If you are getting smooth extractions, then it isnt really necessary to do this however. Sounds like you are doing just fine !
