I want to try DIY electrolysis, but would like to start with a cheap option. I was going to buy One-touch, but people say its way too inconvenient. Are there any good units for under 100$? I don’t want a professional machine, just something I won’t hate after 5 min of use.
Thanks!
Your question prevents you from getting to the correct answer.
The reason we advise purchasing a used professional machine is because other than doing that, you may as well stick wires into an onion soaked in Gatorade, and stick one wire into a wet sponge, and the other onto a sewing needle.
Other than the one-touch there’s no option for a machine that will actually permanently remove your hair. I could recommend a vector or a tweezer system but that would be cruel, so don’t buy those… They cannot and will not work.
I see a very good machine on eBay right now, starting bid is 400$. If that’s out of your realm I’d recommend starting out with the one touch.
Actually, a vector or aavexx with someone to redo the wires when they break would at least give you something that would use professional probes/needles.
You would do well to get this:

ty James! I will consider this machine!
I love my One-Touch. It works, but it requires patience. I started a thread in this section with some of my thoughts and experiences, which I encourage you to check out.
Bottom line: if you want to spend just 30$ for a machine, it WILL work, but all the money you save you will be putting in as time squinting in front of a mirror for 15-30 seconds of hair. I love it, but you have to know what you’re getting into or you will get fed up.
So Redsky… was it you who got that KILLER deal on the Fischer posted above? That thing went SUPER LOW! It is worth well over a thousand dollars. Only $353.78 delivered to your door. total steal of a deal.
