hey, i’m an 20 year old male with sensitive skin. i didnt start shaving until around the age of 16 and at first had no problem but recently i have been growing hair on my neck, which grows in all different directions. i have had laser treatmeant a few times but it all eventually grows back. also when i shave with a mach 3 right after i get out of the shower i feel that the razor doesnt cut all of the hairs…is that normal? am i some how shaving wrong? when i use an electric rotary shaver it seems to catch all the hairs but my skin gets irritated and im kind of self conscience about that…can anyone offer me some helpful advice i really would appreciate it! thanks
My neck hair grows in every direction possible, so I must shave from chest to chin, from jaw to chest, and a few front to back swipes as well. The new 5-blade fusion is really nice; I was a fan of the Mach 3 but have switched. So give it a try. Do you use an aftershave treatment. There are several ways to treat your skin that are discussed here, so have a look around and pick one or two. At this time, I simply use alcohol to close the pores and it helps my skin feel less sensitive.
you should use a shaving gel (not cream) and a 3 or 5 blade razor (new) to shave for least irritation and shave against growth.
what color is your skin and hair? laser works, but it has to be the right machine for your skin/hair type and the right person doing it, and you still need 6-8 treatments for permanent results due to hair cycles.
Of course, the smoother the shave, the increased likelihood for ingrown hair. What laser did you try? Can you provide info on where? what company? your skin & hair type?
Yes, it works, but it may be a loooong road to follow, with quite a bit of $$$, pain, and anxiety…
