I am new here and want to worn you about my English…I will try to explain my problems.
I had electrolysis treatment 4 times and had scabbing every time. 3th and 4th treatments left some marks on my face. It’s been 20 days I have red pinpoints marks and wider pores and around the pores skin colour is lighter like i saw in pokka’s photos here…
I wish i found this forum before i had my treatment but it’s too late and i am tryin to have my healty skin back.
After my treatments i used madecassol cream for tha scabs…i hope you are not going to say that i shouldn’t have used it.
Now,i am having marvel green light treatment to fade the red marks away…and the beautician gave me tritone cream to reduce the marks and discoloration.
I am just worried that i will never get my good skin back and if am doing wrong to use tritone and marvel green ligt treatment?
I am so depressed to see my face like that and if there will be scars for the rest of my life.
Is it true that after 8-12 months scars will be appear??
Just make sure you are a non-smoker, and you get Vitamin C inside of you as well. Smoking causes the skin to lose elasticity, and makes for poor healing results.
How long has it been since your last treatment? I would use tea tree oil daily before bed for a month or two and then judge. It’s not a “scar” unless it’s been there for a good 6-12 months. It sounds like you just have some pigmentation right now which should go away with proper care.
it’s been about 22 days since i had my last elecktrolysis treatment.in 10 days scabs gone but now i have red pinpoints and some of the pores aroud light colour…look like scar…
after first and the second treatment i had scabs but in a week they gone without any scars or red marks…i guess it happened during my third treatment because it hurt so badly and it took longer to heal.for the last fourth treatment i told practitioner not to cause any scab again…but i had again.
i am not going to have any treatment before i get my face healed.
i smoke very rarely…when bad things happen like this…but sure i won’t smoke…and i will consume vitamin c .
Do you think should i continue using tritone cream?(the other name is unitone4)
How about the green light treatment? It’s quiet expensive so if it’s not really necessary i will give up.If it’s give my skin benefit i can sacrifice.
Hi lagirl…have you seen pokka’s photos…on the picture you can see some around lighter marks…i have some on my face too…it’s like scabs fall off earlier than it should be…it might be the reason…i hope to rid them all.
I know very little about the efficacy of the green light therapy, so I will advise as I usually do to use as natural topicals as you can like tea tree oil (sparenly) and the freshest, purest aloe vera gel as possible. Frankly, there are so many medicants and gadgets out there with no long term studies to back up if whether they work or do more harm than good. I just can’t be honest with an answer. I hear feedback from clients all the time that they really like the tea tree oil, witch hazel and aloe combination, and their skin does look good, so I lean on this anecdotal evidence more than anything else because I hear positive feedback all the time.
I have a couple thoughts. Your pictures are very helpful, by the way.
I think I am seeing orange peel skin, not pitting. I would hazard a guess and say that you have naturally large pores. I see this frequently with my clients BEFORE they even start electrolysis. Could this be the case with you? Near your the area along your nose and near the corner of your upper lip, I see large pores. Did you have these areas treated with electrolysis, too?
Secondly, what are the brown spots from? Did you have major healing events after electrolysis in these areas? Have you ever had chicken pox? I see one spot on the jaw line that looks like a chicken pox scab. Has acne been a problem for you in the past? Skin is not perfect when clients first arrive and it is very important to know what was there before the first insertion is ever made. A before picture is always a good idea and helps both sides.
With a skilled electrologist, who has a modern setup, this hair could be cleared in less than an hour, without scabbing.
If you have large pores naturally, then this is not what we call pitting. The brown spots will fade unless they are flat moles, which I can’t decipher if they are or are not.
If you have more information to add, I may change my mind on a few things, but that is the bet I can do for now.
Can you submit a picture of an area of your face where electrolysis has not be done?
Are you concerned about the larger pigmented spots on the left of the picture - towards the middle of your cheek? Only one of them - the top of the 4 that make a slim diamond shape appears possibly treatment related (to me). If they are ALL new marks, then I can see why you are so concerned.
If you are talking about the general condition of the whole area, please be aware that a person with excess hair often has larger pores - and while hairs are growing, it is nearly impossible to see the true texture of the skin.
I do see some tiny pink spots that have hair growing from them - so I would not guess as to whether those follicles have been treated improperly or treated at all.
While you might have an oilier type of skin (this skin is never parchment paper fine when hair is growing) you do appear to have a delicate skin that would need the electrologist to take great care in avoiding over-treatment. I hope that you will consider consulting with some other electrologists - and you might mention that you have concerns that you had previous overtreatment - would they tell you what they would do to avoid overtreating your skin?
you are right barbara…the top of the 4 slim diamond shape are the pits from electrolysis…the others are flat moles they were darker but over a year of laser treatment their colour got lighter…
no dee…they are not chicken pox scabs…not only one i got a few from the electrolysis…
my skin is so sensitive…my noise and around a bit oily but rest of my face is dry…before this forum i didn’t know anything about electrolysis overtreatment ,no one warn me.
my skin seems oily on the photo but it’s not…before the photo i had to wash my face to clean the foundation and put some light cream.
my pores weren’t like this at all…they were smaller and not red.
it happend in 2 years…my hairs on my face were not this thick and dark at all…they were thinner and only jaw area…after this happend i started laser treatment over a year but didn’t work…it made the hairs thicker…so i decided to try electrolysis …everybody said that i ruined my face…
it happened and i can’t go back to time…i am so sorry that the person who treat me didn’t care my skin…
i just need to do right treatment for my face to get better…meanwhile i will bleach my facial hairs…after that i will search about the fraxel laser…
Maybe I’m being too impartial here, but I don’t see that much wrong with the photos above. I think most women’s faces will look like that when taking an upclose photo. It just looks to me like regular pores, and not big ones by any means. A lot of people don’t notice them on their legs when they have hair there, but notice it more when they start doing hair removal and look at that area closely all the time.
lagirl and dee might be right about the pore sizes because the photo is so closed and because of the electrolysis treatment i use so many products on my face that might make the pores bigger…but i am sure that pores needle inserted are more visible…it might be the red pinpoints…(in the morning i use aloe vera, facial cream and then sunscreen…3 products at the same time)
as i said it happened and i am sad indeed…need time to get the pits better…(top of my cheek and the jaw area)
meanwhile i will search for someone good at electrolysis…
by the way…may i ask please…what is orange peel skin?i hope it is something temporary.
hi guys…i talked to a lady today…she has epistar electrolysis…i might go and try…i don’t want any scabs…what can i tell her…if she uses lower current is it still going to
remove the hair permanently…which current should she use?please help me…
i heard about another lady uses nemectron…and she is good at electrolysis but i remember the needle she is using…it’s shorter and thicker than the one i have (apilusjunior).
should i try it even the needle thicker?
p.s:sorry,it’s so hard to express my stuation because of my poor english.
