Pitanga RF/IR laser on blonde hairs?

haya, I’m switching over from a lightshear to a Pitanga (Aurora) machine to get rid of the blonde facial hairs. I have had GREAT results from the lightshear and was wondering if anyone here has any experience with the Pitanga and can tell me if it is effective at removing blonde facial hairs…

It’s not.

um… any more details then that? as in, what would you suggest in its place?

Laser simply do not work on light/blonde hairs. Lasers work by targeting the melanin in your hair and only dark brown/black hair has enough melanin for the laser to penetrate. The laser works by heating up anything dark (i.e in this case dark hair) in order to heat up and destroy the follicle. This is why lasers burn your hair and not your skin (unless settings are too high). Electrolysis is the only method to remove light/blonde hairs permanently. I would advise you to take only this route and avoid lasers as they simply won’t work regardless of what they say at the clinic. Read the hairfacts page on electrolysis to find out more.

but the Pitanga also uses radio frequency energy (RF), that is the frequency that they say affects the blonds, not infrared.

RF is what galvanic electro uses to chemically kill the root. I’ve been searching for info on wheither or not the Pitanga RF has the same chemical effects on the roots… if it does it would have the same effect as galvanic electro at a fraction the time and cost.

if you read previous discussions on the forum regarding the RF component and laser treatments on blond hair, you will be easily convinced that it is not effective and the only way to permanently remove those hairs is with electrolysis. However, those looking to make money and not for your best interests will try to convince you otherwise as you probably experienced.
