Pictures, how long do you think this will take

using microflash.

Wow, those pictures are really magnified. Can you repost?

I love these kind of cases! I can compact the picture with my iPad a bit and would estimate that a couple hours on each side, doing thermolysis would create a much better visual effect initially. But you need about a year to eighteen months of a properly scheduled strategy to clean this up permanently. There is no way around the time factor in regards to hair growth cycles.

Is thermolysis the same as microflash? I’m sorry, I’m still really new to all of this. If she cleared the entire area at one time, would I go back every week at first? I also want to have my chin and under my chin done, I can’t really take a picture of that, because I remove that hair.

I know you said roughly 12-18 months, but will I be able to see a big difference earlier than that?

Not long at all, you should see a big difference within 4-6 months.

That is IF you keep a regular schedule with your treatments

Yes, microflash is a type of thermolysis . The current is delivered in less than a second.

If you get an area cleared, you can go back once a week for about 6-8 weeks if you have been tweezing prior to starting, but I encourage my clients to come back in about three weeks and to clip any new hair that sprouts until then.

About month three or four you should see that you are progressing.

Thank you. I don’t pluck this area. So getting it cleared and going every 3 weeks would be fine?

Yup, or you can go longer in between if you are comfortable just clipping the hair to keep it at bay. Most women want the hair off as soon as it comes in because they don’t want to deal with having hair on their face for others to see.

Thanks!

How long it will take to clear depends on the electrologist. He/she may remove 10 hairs/min, 15 hairs/min, 20 hairs/min… we don’t know. More important is that he/she treats the follicles effectively so that they never produce a hair again. Obviously the best scenario would be speed and very effective treatment.

Whether it can be cleared in a few sessions over a few weeks, or whether it may take a month or two of regular appointments to reach clearance again depends on your electrologist.

What concerns me more is that your hairs are blonde and fine and most likely there is much more hair than the camera is picking up. You need to ensure that the electrologist has proven experience treating this kind of hair and can actually see them and make good insertions. In addition, if you are starting treatment from this point with growth that hasn’t been tampered with ever or recently, a lot of the follicles will be in telogen phase - it will make the whole process a lot quicker if the electrologist can treat telogen hairs.
