Personal experience of One Touch home electrolysis

I thought I should give my experience with the One Touch home electrolysis set and ask others to tell theirs. It worked to remove hairs permanently for me on certain areas.

I got a small One Touch home electrolysis set about 12 years ago. It cost $20 then, and is listed at $35 now. Some areas I treated with it have been permanently hair-free now for 8 or 10 years. It worked best on areas where the hairs were straight and dark and I could see clearly which direction the follicle lay under the skin. My successful areas are between the eyebrows, front of the chin, accessible parts of the lower leg, and a mole on the face. The sides and bottom of the chin were not so successful, I guess because I couldn’t see the direction of the follicle without pulling and distorting the skin. I don’t know why the upper lip was not as successful, though I think there was hair reduction.

When I first got the machine I didn’t understand about sliding the needle right into the follicle, and I wasted some time poking the needle straight into the skin. Once I figured out how to slide the needle into the follicle it was effective. I would listen to radio programmes or audiobooks and just sort of space out at the windowsill in the sun, poking away for half an hour once a week or so.

The machine stopped working after a few years and several replacements of battery or needle.

Do you have any scarring on your face? Please answer this honestly. Self-insertions are very difficult on the facial areas. I can see why you were not able to effectively remove hair on the under chin.

More proof that electrolysis works. Imagine what skilled, well-equipped electrologist could do for you, if you had the opportunity to see one in your locale.

Thank you very much for sharing your experience with the One Touch and welcome to hairtell.
