People who have had Laser..

Are you satisfied with your results or dissapointed?

Also is it true that laser only lasts a few months/years?
Some people [not on this site] for example said that after 4 months hair had returned to the area?

Laser can permanently disable hair. Hair that is affected by laser will not return in four months. It’s history.

Hair grows in cycles, so hair that appears in four months may be regrowth or new growth. Just like with electrolysis, hair needs to be available (seen) to treat when it is GROWING, ALIVE. You can’t kill something that is already dead. If this condition is not met, hair will not return. Then you will have to wait for the next group of hairs to cycle in, which may be in 6 weeks of 16 weeks.

Laser can not treat all structures and colors of hair on all colors of skin. Electrolysis can. Laser is dependent on finding a skilled practitioner with the proper laser for your skin and hair type. Electrolysis, same thing goes, except for the equipment issue, however, I am very partial to finding someone skilled that has an excellent computerized epilator, good magnification and lighting.

To fully treat an area with laser, it takes about 1-1.5 years, same as electrolysis, but you will spend less time on the table with laser hair reduction.

There are certain areas where laser works fabulously well, underarms, lower legs, bikini area… I don not recommend laser hair reduction for women’s faces.

Laser hair reduction that is performed correctly will be permanent. If some people say it lasts for only four months/years, more questions need to asked about the client and how the proceedure was performed.

Permanent hair reduction with laser has pleased many, many consumers, however, you need to know the “if’s” , “and’s”, and “but’s” concerning you as an individual that is seeking hair removal. Same as with electrolysis. This is why hairfacts and hairtell exists for you the hair consumer. Take a peak at the laser faq’s and read up!

There are plenty of personal stories on this forum for you to judge that for yourself. Also, please read the FAQs at the link below.

If you get treated by someone who doesn’t know what they’re doing with less than optimal laser and settings, which happens, then results can be minimal. But that happens in every field. If you get proper treatments on the right type of hair (coarse dark hair), then your results will be permanent.

I had my laser treatments 6 years ago, and there has been no change in growth since the hairs were eliminated.

So yes, it’s permanent when using the right laser, settings, skin/hair type and treatment schedule. As mentioned, it can take 1-1.5 years when treating every couple months, but the results seem to last forever.
