PCOS and Electrolysis, What!!!

Dear hairtell consumers,

For several decades, electrologists were (and still are) treating patients with PCOS induced hair growth. A recent issue of JAMA(Journal of the American Medical Association), a highly cited publication for physicians, offered a print out sheet that physicians can give their PCOS patients. Under the treatment section, electrolysis is not mentioned. LASER and prescriptions creams (Vaniqa) are mentioned for helping those PCOS’ers with the unwanted hair side-effect. A huge error or could it be a slight on the authors part? Not listing electrolysis as a mechanical treatment option is an outrage and disservice to all patients with this cruel disease.

Be it known, to all our well-informed hairtell consumers that ELECTROLYSIS IS A FABULOUS OPTION FOR TREATING UNWANTED HAIR PERMANENTLY, FOR ANY HAIR COLOR, ON ANY SKIN COLOR ON ANY SIZE OF HAIR – ANYWHERE . Be aware and very careful about what some prestigious doctors/researchers write in prestigious publications, as it may not hold all the information you need to know for your treatnment options, but we are watching out for you on hairtell.

Here is the patient information sheet that is very incomplete. I have brought this to the attention of the American Electrolysis Association members and leadership as well. They can do something or nothing with it, but this is another example of the the new glamour treatment protocols that have taken over the mindset of the medical community at the expense of the consumer.
