The same colleague requested a drawing of the papilla. I did this illustration a few years ago in “Illustrator.” For some reason there is a blue background when I saved to a JPEG (this was an ai. drawing). Still you can see how the papilla inserts into the hair bulb (both a capillary and a venule). Please use this photo, if you wish … Best Wishes

Illustration of the papilla (I did this in Photoshop) … I hope the color comes out correctly … having problems converting to JPEG from TIFF and ai. (Now, I think the urethane has dried and I’ll get back to work!)
YIKES! Somebody is on LSD! I tried to get this color, but B&W is best I can do. Imagine the grey part the “incoming” blood and the black side the “returning” blood.
