Over treatment of Upper lip- please help

Hi everyone,

I think my upper lip was over treated. Till now I had only 4 sessions but the upper lip area is still has red spots, dark dots and looks like having moustache shadow. I am using the bactiracin, together with aloe vera and tea tree oil.
Does this hings really fade by time?? Does anyone successfully had them fade?
I am not gonna do any more sessions untill I see improvement in the upper lip looking. How long does it take on average to fade if it does?

What would really be helpful would be a picture of what you are talking about, so that instead of a hypothetical reply, we could take to you about what you actually are experiencing.

At this point, a quality picture(s) would be helpful. Some people describe skin manifestations right on and some magnify skin problems. Your initial description right after your treatment was overtreatment, what with the lymph fluid and crusting that followed, but now your skin is mending. In the vast majority of cases, all heals back to normal. Keep pampering your lip.

In general, you shouldn’t be treating any area that hasn’t healed from previous treatment. And upper lip normally can’t handle more than 20 mins or so of treatment at any one time if treating a bunch of follicles together. Keep that in mind for next time.

For right now, I would only use witch hazel during the day and tea tree oil at night. And avoid anything with chemicals, i.e. moisturizers, lotions, facewashes, makeup, etc.

I routinely treat upper lip areas for more than 20 minutes. It has to be done correctly with certain brand epilators and other equipment. No scabbing or leakage and all heals well. There is some swelling, but that is a trade off I discuss with the client if the client wants to get cleared asap and look visibly much better. Swelling lasts for 1-3 days, depending, but it is usually short-lived and is usually not noticeable to others.

Hi,

I am posting a picture. I am soooo mad of what happened to my upper lip even my husband has been telling me it is a big mistake.
I am using in the morning witch hazel, and then bactarcin, In the afternoon bacitracin and then tea tree oil. I have been doing this for 2 weeks now. No significant improvement. the lady was doing electrolysis for me using the Apilus machine.

Help pleaseeee

Karin, in that picture can not tell if the damage is temporary. Please try to make a clearer picture so we can check the current status of your skin. In my opinion the treatment was too aggressive, but the machine is not responsible.

The upper lip had been treated for years with tweezers. Look at the evolution that has experimented with the Apilus Platinum Electrolysis.
