One Touch Modification HELP

Hello everybody!

I’m new to this forum but I have read a lot in the DIY electrolysis section. It has been very very helpful so far! Thank you all for that!

I bought a One Touch (yes, I know it is a cheap device but I just want to try it out a little bit on my legs until I move on to a professional machine)
… and i’m waiting for it to arrive (I live in Europe and it takes some time…)
Until I can work with it I’m reading and learning about electrolysis.

My problem is: I don’t want to ruin the One Touch with salty water, therefore I’d like to use it with a footswitch (sponge).
What I don’t understand is how to modify the One Touch.

I need electrical tape, an alligator clip, a sponge + a bowl with salty water and a wire…
But what kind of wire? (Could you send me a link from amazon or so?)
How can I connect it to the device and to the sponge?

Can - please - someone explain this to me and/or even better… post a picture of a modified device?

I’m not good at this technical stuff and I’m not a native English speaker, so this makes it a little harder for me to understand.
It would help A LOT if somebody could send me pic of their modified One Touch!

I really hope someone can help me. Thank you in advance!
Take care.

For the price of it, just buy another one when the first one starts to get rust spots that affect how well it works

Wipe with a fresh water paper towel and then dry after to reduce any damage, and keep your fingers just barely damp.

Or, I don’t know, could you just wrap metal part with tinfoil or something?

Thanks for your answer
You are right and I’m going to apply your tipps if I can manage to build the footswitch. But since I live in Europe it’s always going to take a long time to get a new one and the shipping costs are really expensive. That’s why I would like to get the footswitch.
So does someone have another advice for me? I’d really appreciate it. Thanks
