One Touch Home Electrolysis

I have purchased one of these little wonders. I haven’t had a chance to use it yet- shipping. I just had a general question for those that use it, I read the reviews for it at folica.com (or net, whatever) and there are a lot of mixed reviews. I had purchased the painless tweeze from a lady on eBay. We messaged back and forth several times, I wanted to make sure I wasn’t wasting my money. Humph, I should’ve done more research before I spent 20 dollars. not to say it doesn’t work, but I don’t have the patience. The home electrolysis (as opposed to “radio frequency” tweezers) seems like a better bet (and it was cheaper). Approximately how long would it take to clear the bikini area? On a professional note, is this the best I could do with a limited budget? or is it just another waste? On a not professional level, has anyone used this thing with noticeably permanent results?

Thanks. Your answers are much appreciated.

If you review this forum a bit more thoroughly, you’ll find most of your answers in detail.

It is the cheapest way to go and you can clear the bikini area with it with permanent results. Overall, it will take 9 to 12 months to finish due to hair growth cycles. To be successful, you’ll need to spend about an hour a day for the first half of that period, maybe half of that and less as you finish up.

Galvanic electrolysis is slow and you’ll bend and waste several of the fragile needles of the One Touch before you’re finished. You’ll also need good lighting and probably some magnification.

A better investment would be for a second hand pro machine, or to build your own simple galvanic unit with professional probes. Some more info at http://www.geocities.com/hairfreethere/
