one session

Hey , i had one treatment on my arms with laser , and i got kinda patches of longer hairs on my arms , now my question is , will i go for electrolysis for 1,2 hours one treatment only , how many hairs do you think i can get in that session that will not grow back again ? i am not looking to complitly remove the hairs , only to try and thin it out evenly along my arms.

thanks.

Good lord, there is a thread about this just two or three threads down. Just look.

Here’s the link to the thread where there is some discussion on this. It also has a link in it to another post about timings of sessions in order to thin out/reduce hair.

How long has it been since your treatment? If it’s right around 2-3 weeks and you can see what has shed and what hasn’t, you need to go in to get a touchup treatment. That’s if these longer hairs you’re talking about appeared after they’ve been treated with laser. If you skipped them on purpose because you thought they were too fine for laser, then you can do electrolysis on them.

Neither method will kill whatever hair you see 100% because not all of it is in the right growing phase to be killed. A good electrologist can remove 5-10 hairs per minute or so with thermolysis method, but like I said, you’ll have to come back for more treatments to kill the hairs in other phases.

If all the hairs are in anagen, then you should have around 400 (one hour) to 800 (2 hours) treated hairs gone. For good.
