In general, what is the average percentage of hair reduction after one laser treatment?
I had laser tx 4. 5 weeks ago, with no reduction in my leg hair, about 10% in underarm, <5% in “standard” bikini area, and none in “brazilian” bikini area. I want to have some info. when I go in for my next appt. (unfortunately I paid for a series of 5 treatments up front).

That is not a good response IMHO. That is why I am not in favor of package deals. Sounds like you were undertreated, or not a good candidate for LHR!
I would expect at a minimum 25-50% reduction after one treatment. At least that is what my results have been.

I agree. My results have been anywhere from 30% to 85% gone just from one treatment depending on the area. Bikini and underarms with coarse black hair on pale skin were best (85%). Whatever hair doesn’t shed wasn’t affected. I would ask for a free reshoot if I were you. Looks like settings were too low.
Thank you for the input. The treatment on my underarms and bikini was so painful that I cannot imagine going higher on settings (I’ve had three babies, I know pain <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> . I felt NO pain on the legs. In fact on the legs, the tech said she couldn’t safely go any higher. This is so strange and disappointing. Thanks for your advice.
what’s your skin hair and type? what laser is used? if its a laser for light skin like alex or diode, and your skin can’t handle higher settings, you can switch to a Yag laser, which is meant for darker skin and is safer.
