Obsessed by my peach fuzz

Hello everyone,

I’m experiencing a serious amount of peach fuzz on my face, that seems to increase since 2020 (i hate this year). I have very fine facial hair on my sideburns all the way to my jaws, my cheeks and my chin. Some are transparent and more long and on my sideburns it’s black. I am seriously wondering if my increased use of differin hasn’t make it worst.

When the sun hits im really insecure as it looks like i have a fuzzy beard.
I am middle eastern so definitely a hairy background since im a teen but my mum and my sister don’t have that problem. I have a mild pcos, im taking spiro (50mg) and birth control, i dont really see the improvement though.

I already tried electrolysis on my stomach and 2 small sessions on my face but i was told i have too many fuzz and it will take a long time and I’d probably scar. This has become an obsession of mine I’m thinking about it everyday, and I’m looking at it with the torch light on my phone which make it way more horrible. Some appear more dark with the torch light.

My question is, is it possible to get rid of this amount of peach fuzz thats mostly transparent vellus hair? It so do you know a good electrolysis expert in France ? Would the vellus hair will turn into terminal hair as I age ? ( Iam 28)

Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk

Your ethnicity makes you susceptable to this kind of hair growth.I have easily dozens upon dozens of arabic clients who come to see me for this very reason. It takes a while, but you can get where you want to be.
It absolutely is NOT caused by the mask. In your age group you will be going though considerable hormonal changes and you aregenetically susceptable to such growth.
You also will be susceptable to paradoxal laser hair growth, so please do not do that.
I will say this once: THERE ARE NO GOOD ELECTROLOGISTS IN FRANCE… France has laws in place that make it unlawful to perform electrolysis unless you are a medical doctor, and doctors are not interested in performing electrolysis. You would be well advised to go someplace like spain for your treatments.

Oh thank you for your quick answer @Iluv2zap
I will definitely not do laser treatments I know it’s a no go for me even on my body, perhaps the bikini and legs not thighs. How many sessions do you do on the face for your client with the same skin type ?
I feel like it’s a dead end financially and time consuming :cry:

That’s what I thought, France is always late to everything especially on the esthetic field. Doctors only want to do like 10minutes sessions and will charge you 60€ !
Spain is a bit far for me, do you know one in Italia near the french border ? San remo or genova perhaps ?

I do not agree with this! You can be helped with this. How sad to be told this misinformation. Last I heard, electrolysis is not as plentiful and easily obtained in France? If you can travel to the UK or Spain, you will find the expert, loving help you need.

I know right ?? In france they just are too lazy to do the work and they’re not willing to learn especially when hairy people are mostly black, arab or hispanic women so they do not care. I can’t even find product for my curly hair in the store here!
I have to go abroad to take care of it thats just unbelievable…

Yes, unbelievable. I do recall a nice young man named Adrian who posted here on Hairtell was an electrologist in France, but I don’t know where he is today? I think only physicians can do electrolysis in France, but maybe that has changed. I don’t think a lack of well-trained electrologists has anything to do with ethnicity, but rather with the laws and regulations.

The situation in France is a direct result of laws and regulations that restrict the practice of electrolysis to doctors and lack of proper training, nothing more.

I’m assuming you are talking about Differin (adapalene) Gel 0.3% for acne. I reviewed the side effects and hair growth was not included in the literature I found. Your skin looks pretty clear so it’s probably working well?

You said you have “mild” PCOS and are taking medication. The medication will probably reduce the size of the “peach fuzz” but not the hairs at your sideburns.

The hairs at the side burns can be treated with electrolysis; but I would wait-it-out before treating the peach fuzz.

I had one of Adrien’s clients a couple years ago and Adrien does good work (he trained with Josefa). His name is Adrien Sanchiz and I believe he is practicing in Madrid … or possibly in France. I have lost the contact. If you want the side burns treated you are going to have to travel. Electrolysis not laser.

Hello,

Thank you for your insight, yes differine works really well that’s why i was so pissed to see this side effect, i saw that other people had the same experience with retinoid. Maybe as it’s increasing blood flow it’s accelerating the hair growth?
For the peach fuzz, I’d like to take off at least the area next to my mouth and on my jawline as its making me look like an old lady with blonde whiskers. Do you think it can be done in 2-3 sessions ? It’s untouched and fine.
I’ve sent a message on facebook to Adrien but no answer  he’s in France so that will be perfect.
I’d like to avoid travelling every month to another country as electrolysis is already expensive and long.

I’m afraid it’s been a year or so since I last heard from Adrien as well though I think he was moving around as Mike indicates.
