Hi there. Wanted to thank all - especially top posters - for their help and guidance. Has been inordinately useful for me.

Figured I’d post my experience in case others may find it useful. Would also appreciate any input.

I’m a 29 year old Arab male who has been undergoing electrolysis for years (about weekly on and off for 5 years). Cleared my entire back, butt, and stomach albeit with much pain and dedication. First I went to John Gior in Great Neck and then Diane at Absolutely Clear Electrolysis in NYC. Really can’t say enough good things about both places. Professional, thorough and caring. Got great results.

Still have bushy chest and legs and hoping for less onerous process than electrolysis. So far had two consultations in NYC: Romeo & Juliet and Lynda Christine (laser nurse). Prices quoted were not so different and am currently deciding with whom to work.

Will keep all abreast as to treatment and results. I think I’m about a III on the fitzpatrick scale (light skin, coarse dark hair).

Many would love to hear more about your hair removal. I admire your dedication. What you went through is very difficult. I agree with your laser plan. Good luck!

“I hate body hair”: thank you so much for the words of advice. Really appreciate it. Helps immensely when making a decision. Think I am, in fact, going to go with Romeo and Juliette. Based on my consultation with them and such effusive recommendations, sounds like the best choice. Is there anyone you’d recommend I work with there or are all of their technicians competent? I was told I could request the same technician for each treatment if I felt so inclined.

Considering that you’re male, and a good candidate for laser, you probably don’t need all the hair totally gone. A reduction of hair on your chest and legs is probably all you need, and laser can usually do that.
