NYC Electrologists-Any experience with these two?

I’m finally ready to start electrolysis and I’m prepared to go for frequent and steady appointments. I know from experience that if I have to travel far I’m so much less likely to go, so I would really like to see an electrologist in a convenient location.

I’ve looked at the American Electrology Association website and I’ve found two who are in my immediate area. They are Elizabeth Liss and Barbara Leibowitz. Does anyone have any thoughts, recommendations or experiences to share? Any compelling reasons why I should start with one over the other?
Thanks!

I believe Barbara posted here before and I’m thinking she is very good at using multi-probe galvanic. You can run a search her for her posts, if you’d like.

Is Arlene Batz close to you?

Dee

Unfortunately not. I really like Arlene’s posts and I would love to see her (you, if you’re reading this!) but it’s too much of a trek. I could see myself going occasionally but definitely not as much as I would need to. I pass the Barbara and Elizabeth on my way to the subway twice a day, so I would have no excuse not to go to them.

Why don’t you check out both and decide based on your experience? Also, run a search here for New York and see what past ones have been recommended.

I did run a search and didn’t find it that helpful. I saw a few posts where people said they could help someone choose an electrologist if they gave them locations etc, so I thought this would be more useful.

Understandably I should check both, but was hoping that people might be able to share some experiences or recommendations so I know which one to go with first.

Make appointments with both within the same week so you can get a feel for whoever. If a client of one or them comes to hairtell with comments, then all the more stronger for helping you decide.
