I have been researching this topic for so long and my head is spinning. But I have finally narrowed my search down to two places. I would like to have my legs and my upper lip done, and I have light skin with dark hair.
One place will use the GentleLase by Candela and is more expensive for the leg treatments($700 for full legs), the other uses the Apogee 9300 and will give me a session at $550 if I buy the package. Also, the place that has the Apogee (Manhattan Laser Center) wants me to come in every four weeks for a treatment.
I think the Apogee is a better machine but I am not sure about going in once a month, I feel that is too soon. Also, to buy the package means I have to pay upfront all of the money, which is very expensive.
Also, the GentleLase people told me I will need about 4 treatments, Apogee people told me 6.
Can anyone please give me some fast advice on what to do, I have been growing the hair for a while now and I feel like a gorilla. I just want to make a decision and get it done with. THank you.
haha@gorilla, don’t worry about, it’s ok!
Some places make you pay upfront but they do have a policy that if you are dissatisfied, they can refund you the sessions you did not use. Check if they have that. Other places have 50% refund.
I’m on the same boat as you, I’ve been jumping from one place to another trying to decide which place to go to and so far, I’m more confused than ever. The more you know, the more difficult it is to decide!

I’m not sure about the Apogee but I had Candela GentleLASE on my face (I am light skin/dark hair) and it has been VERY effective. I am about 90% hair free after 2 treatments.
