Not State Licensed?

I was concerned about this electrolysist because she is working from her home and seems very old. (not to be ageist…but I should call her back and ask about how current her equipment is) But also concerned because her website does not say if she is state licensed.

If she turns out to not be state licensed, should I be concerned?

I noticed James Walker listed her as recommended for NC. (and she is the only person close to me [30 minutes away])

I’d appreciate any advice. In the meantime, I will look at the “choosing an elect.” section

Thanks,

Eurasian

Also, I live in Chapel Hill, NC if anyone has suggestions. Esp. from word of mouth.

She is licensed. You can email the state board at [email protected] or call the state board’s office (336-856-1010) on Tuesday or Thursday, and ask about her license and if there have ever been any complaints against her.

She is not the closest person to you. There are electrologists closer to you. The board’s secretary can help you with that also.

She was, and may still be on the state board of electrolysis. She is licensed.
You can start your search with her, and if after getting a few consultations, you find that she seems the best person to you, then you go back to her for the rest of your treatments.
