I was so set on getting electrolysis done on my chin, but after reading several posts about people having hair grow back after getting electrolysis treatment, I’ve become very hesitant.
Isn’t electrlysis permanent?? Or was this false?

Hair grows in cycles. You can only get the hairs that are active at that time. You clear an area and as new hairs become active, you clear them. It takes time to get them all since only a portion of follicles are active at any time.
Hi:
Some hairs are killed on the first treatment, but some take several treatments. If someone continues their treatment with an experienced and competent professional, eventually the hair won’t come back. Sometimes total permanent removal on facial hair could take a considerable number of hours on a weekly or bi-weekly basis over a year or more. A male facial beard could take about 200 hours in total for instance.
It does work though. It takes commitment to keeping regular appointments and also faith in believing it will work.

The biggest part is getting to first clearance as fast as possible so one can switch into maintenance mode. The reason my clients get finished so much sooner, is because the ones who allow me to clear them out in a straight shot, and then reclear them on the right schedule, spend most of their time bare faced and we get most of the hairs as they come in, and have no chance to go into shedding mode. The overwhelming majority of the work is done in 9 months and after that we are either finished, or just have small pick ups to be done 12 weeks apart.
The problem is that this level of work is not available everywhere you go.
Hairloss, do us a favor, don’t use caps on every letter of your headers. We like giving advice here, we like people who use good posting practices. If you don’t use caps, we’ll still see your posts and answer all the same.
Electrolysis is permanent. It’s best for chin. It’s your best option. Like anything worthwhile, it takes time. Understand the science and you’ll understand the process.

“understand the science and you’ll understand the process”
Mantaray, obviously I was not addressing the problem with the “science”, I was addressing the problem that people have had with past experiences.
Please read posts carefully and understand them before replying back.
Mantaray is correct though. All your questions are one-offs that show your lack of understanding of what you should be looking for to get good results. If you’re reading the entire experiences of people who are posting them, you should see that there is usually a reason of why something didn’t work. If you do your research and “understand the science” you will be able to find someone who has the machine and the skill you need to get you results. That’s what the results depend on and you can’t find someone who’s good without understanding what “good” entails.
Also, I’m assuming that the chances of the hair coming back are slim to none… hopefully!
I recently had a client who removed a unibrow die, and there it was in the casket, 15 years later, two distinct eyebrows. ( ok, I got to know the family, I had actually seen him before he died around town many times, and I know he just did not have any more hair in the treatment area)
once a follicle is disabled, it doesn’t produce hair any longer. the point here is to do your research so you can find someone who knows what they’re doing so that they can do this to all the follicles. and of course, you need to stay committed to the program to get all hairs in all cycles.
