Nose hair

Hello. Recently after bleaching some of the hairs on my nose tip to my horror I have noticed an increase in hair growth. I have been told by family that these hairs will fall out but I am doubtful this is true. I am now considering electrolysis on these hairs but i am worried that these hairs may be too thin to be treated. I have also been told that electrolysis is extremley painful and its not worth the time and effort on a few nose hairs. Any comments appreciated

We are talking about hair on the bulb of the nose right, not the hair inside the nose? Nose hair can be taken care of quite quickly with electrolysis. Also, because most people have sun damage there (no matter how minimal) it usually does not hurt. Yes, you will have to have more than one treatment, but much less than someone getting electrolysis in a different area. Mine was all gone after 4 treatments. I may have gotten lucky though.

bleaching didn’t cause extra growth, however, it can cause the hairs to become a bit thicker and more noticeable if you bleach consistently for years. are you male or female?

electrolysis on the top of the nose is easy and no, it’s not that painful at all. for those few hairs, you will only need 5-10 minute treatments. read the helpful information on this forum, provide your location, and get started. you will be done in no time with just a few (8-10) treatments spaced a 3-4 weeks apart.

I’m actually working on a man who came to me about a month ago with over 200 hairs on his nose. They were all cleared off in 30 minutes using microflash thermolysis for the first appointment and when he returned yesterday he had less than 50 hairs cycling in, so we easily wiped those out as well. He tolerated it well and all he needs to do is look in the mirror every other week and check if there are new hairs cycling in so we can keep the momentum going until there is nothing left to treat in 9-12 months. I also began treatment on his gabella and upper cheeks, since the nose is basically cleared. Some hairs hurt and some didn’t, but he managed just fine. His total investment has been about 90 minutes with me and $125 so far. He’s not finished, but he will probably need to see me every three to four weeks for the first 6 months, then sessions are spread farther apart and probably will take less than 20 minutes each time until he is finished.

This is not a difficult area to treat. He looks great now and will continue to look great long after there is no more offensive hairs present. Electrolysis for any area is a short term investment that keeps paying dividends for a lifetime.

can hair inside the nose be treated?

No, not with electrolysis. Too much bacteria present inside the nose that could cause an infection, an infection that may spread to the brain.

I believe I have seen posts on another forum that is no longer on the internet, where a laserologist said that the inside nose hairs can be treated from the outside, with laser? Maybe our laser hair removal experts could be more helpful here since laser is not my specialty.
