Nipple Discoloration Risk

Is there a higher risk of discoloration associated with laser hair removal on or around the nipple?

In my case, I am planning laser hair removal using a GentleLASE laser, and my initial test spots went very well, although I did not have a test spot done on the nipple.

Does anyone feel that I should opt for electrolysis for this area due to risk of discoloration? Or will laser work fine on the nipples?

Thanks!

Nipples should be covered up with something white during treatment. So you can’t treat hair right on the nipple itself.

Some of my hairs are right on the border of the nipple. Should I ensure that they don’t treat these and have them removed via electrolysis in the future?

Thanks!

Yes, I’d leave those for electrolysis.

Are you male or female?

I agree. Electrolysis is so target specific for any size hair, any color of hair on any color of skin, that it would be unwise to think of using any other method. Blend electrolysis is great for these frisky hairs in the beginning sessions, but thermolysis works, too. It’s all up to the electrologist who is treating you. Do electrolysis. You can get cleared the first time and every time until there is no hair left to treat. If you stay a on a proper schedule, you will be really happy with the results in about a years time. Hairs should slide out effortlessly after they are treated with the right amount of energy for the right amount if time.

I am male. I will look into electrolysis for these hairs. Thanks!
