Niagara region Laser practitioners

Hello,

can any one suggest any good laser hair removal clinics in the niagara region? (Canada)

James,

Is Lucy D…??? located in tdoto’s area??

Of course, tdoto, you could come across the border to Buffalo and see the THE GREAT ONE - James Walker himself.

I think they’re asking for a laser clinic, not electrolysis.

tdoto, we need more information regardless. You need a specific laser type depending on your skin type. Please read the FAQs.

What areas are you looking to treat? Is the hair coarse?

Indeed, true. I read this too fast. In any event, tdoto, may need a good electrologsist after laser has been tried. Keep Lucy D…? or James in mind if you reach those days of diminishing returns with laser.

Dee

Thanks LAgirl for pointing that out.

sorry ive done the research… i guess i shoulda included more information… im treating back and arms. and the hair is very course and i think my skin type is 3 so I am looking for Alexandrite laser. Ive had about 4 treatments with the Yag at 40j/cm2 20ms 2.00 and although the hair sheds it all grows back and is ineffective and rather patchy. and this was in Toronto. I am now living in the niagara region and would like to try an alexandrite hopefully with someone who overlaps and is willing to do touch ups

and thanks dee. I didnt know James was in Buffalo… although my goal is just reduction and not completely hair free… i will keep that in mind… maybe for some areas electrolosis might be nice… for the back of my neck as an example… it grows back too fast and i have to keep getting hair cuts… and its a small area so it would be ideal for electrolosis i guess.

We have lost Lucie DeRochers to her home in the Province of Quebec, but she can be reached in Gatineau - 819-923-7009

As for me, Although I DO have clients who cross the boarder to see me, and I would welcome Tdoto, I am sure that he probably wants to do what his mind started looking for first, before he considers seeing me or anyone else of the Golden Probe variety.

I will say, though, my friend the barber wants me to never again mention the possibility of “the permanent edge-up”

Good luck in what ever you decide.

Can you post a photo? Most men’s arms don’t have hair that’s coarse and dense enough. That may be part of the problem. Also, the pulse width could be shorter.

You can try contacting Candela in Canada to see if they have recommendations of clinics in your area that own their machines.

how do i post pics on here?

Upload them to www.photobucket.com and post the HTML tags they provide for each pic here.

as you can see… the practitioner did not do a very good job… normally i would wax or shave but i wanted to let it grow to see what would happen… and considering its winter I can wear full sleeves all the time

I saw a man’s beard that was very patchy like this when I was buying a CoComotion Hot Chocolate Maker by Mr. Coffee at Walmart yesterday (useless information, but a great gadjet for gift giving, to go with Trader Joe’s sipping chocolate. Add a little turbinado sugar and yum!)

Can you get more treatments to keep reducing the hair? After the hair gets to fine, call James or someone good in your locale to punch and even the hair out.

This is an example of a very uncareful treatment where no proper overlapping was done. Your seems seems coarse enough still in those patches, so I would definitely switch to a better provider to fix this.

would u suggest yag or alexandrite for this?

That’s what my legs look like, only my laser treatments left larger patches behind. For everyone out there considering laser: Ask your tech his feelings on “overlapping” before buying a non-refundable package!!! Some of them think one zap per square inch is way more than enough, and some apparently think overlapping is overkill and risks burns.

Even with cajoling and goading, I was only able to milk about 50 zaps out of my laser tech for my entire lower legs (would have been thirty if I didn’t keep telling him he was missing spots)! He didn’t go in rows, he’d do it all over the place in the most bizarre patterns!

Sorry to hijack your thread, I just saw that photo and I feel your pain. Wherever you end up going, tell them you’re a hardcore stickler for overlapping!

You definitely look light enough for an alex, so I’m not sure why you would use a Yag. Alex is more powerful. Yags are only used in situations when alex is too powerful for a skin type and can burn that skin.
