new to electroloysis need suggestion, please!

I intention was not to say that because the lady did not use the glove she has bad skills. It was her lack of professionalism and skills that drove me out of there. Her not wearing gloves was a bulb going of in my head to the stop the treatment right away and i am glad that i did because the electrologist that i went to today has been in practice since 1989 is member of the CPE. She explained things to me a lot clearly than the previous two electrologist that i went to.
Her work space was friendlier and made me feel at ease compared to the previous electrologist.
She has a Apilus and did 15min of test with the blend and then with the picoflash. I wanted to go with the flash since it is alot faster but i have curly hair and she suggested to use picoblend for the first clearance and then use the picoflash.

Apilus is definitely quicker and less painful. I had one hour done on the left side of my cheek and she took off a good portion with which i am satisfied with and feeling confident about. with the other electrologist i seriously thought that it would take months for my first clearance. I am looking at three hours of session to get full clearnce on my left cheek and about three for my right. Three hours on each side i still feel is a lot of time for the first full clearnce and a lot of money.

I am going to have to post pics up and get a suggestion about the area that i left for clearance can be cleared by a good technician.
thanks you all for your help.

The third electrologist you tried certainly does sound better. Since she has PicoFlash on her epilator, then she also has another thermolysis mode called “MultiPlex” which would be good for curly hair and faster than PicoBlend. Either way, she has a great plan for you. Yes, an Apilus 27 megahertz epilator is much better in regard to sensation issues. Many of my appointments are longer than one hour because the client is able to lay on the table and get clearance each and every time. The appointments that are shorter are only shorter because the bothersome hair they present with can be cleared away in less than an hour. Another point: if one uses a small probe on thick man hair, less surface area is affected below the skin. I personally use a lot of 5 and 6 Ballet probes on my male and female clients with hearty hair structures. The follicle will stretch a little, but one needs good magnification to do this right.

Pictures would be helpful!

dfahey from what i remember she did use a small probe on me. Before she was using a bigger probe and the hair was not coming out the way she wanted.

i just want to understand this correctly. YOu are saying that the use of a small probe is a good or bad? if it is bad then i would ask her to use a bigger probe the next time. I don’t have a camera right now since i am at college, but maybe i can get a camera from one of my friends and get the pics up asap.
thanks

The probe should match the diameter of the hair one is treating, but I have heard that others do not always subscribe to that concept. I like larger probes. If the hair wasn’t releasing with the larger probe, then the energy level needed to adjusted.

I was just feeling my skin and i have realized that i still have scabs from last friday’s treated that i ended after half and hour and don’t have any scabs from the treatment that i received this past Monday, through an CPE certified electrologist who used the Apilus pico blend!

Yeah! Don’t pick any of the scabs from last Friday. CPE certification doesn’t insure no scabbing. Many electrologists choose not to be a CPE and do very, very well for their clients. I have heard some not so favorable stories from posters here about CPE electrologists, too. It’s all in the skill and the actions one takes to have the best set up in their business.

I’m very happy for you. That is why it is important to shop and compare.

Scabs don’t usually appear until a few days after and then fall off in about a week or so. Don’t pick them.

I think the reason that the scabs never appeared from my last treatment was due to use of tea tree oil right after the treatment. When i woke up the next morning most of my scabs that i got from my last weeks treatment had disappeared.

Use that witch hazel, tea tree oil (dabs only) and aloe vera gel those first three days especially. I really like this trio for aftercare.

i wanted to post a pic on here. how do it do it? thanks
