New pro-electrolysis site on laser

Please add this site to your web site - It will help the whole Electrology Industry ! Lazer Alternative - Electrolysis Is The True Permanent Hair Remover

The site has a few original images of laser injuries.

This sounds more like the “anti-laser site on electrolysis” rather than a “pro-electrolysis site on laser”. It goes on to omit all the positives of good laser treatments (including efficiency) and exaggerate the negatives, and in turn exaggerate all the positives of electrolysis (including assuming that all electrologists are good), omitting its negatives.

Laser is here to stay, UNLESS we start to see an unspeakable amount of adverse skin changes down the road from repeated lasering that ring the alarm bell among physicians. I think the chances of this happening are pretty slim, though, so let me repeat, laser is here to stay.

There is accurate information on this site,Laser Alternative, about electrolysis assuming that the “brains” behind the machine is doing his or her job correctly. For much of the information and pictures provided about laser, I think there should be a big BUT… after the statement. Declarative sentences need more information especially when the topics are as complicated as permanent hair removal.

Hair biology, as we all know, is very complicated and so is the subject of how best to remove it permanently. There would be no need for laser if the electrolysis profession could as a whole remove hair with decent speed using the modern electrolysis equipment available today, including vison equipment, and were properly and continually trained in order to keep skills sharp. Since, this is not the case, laser is here to stay.

My opinion is that the two can work well together with the strengths they both can bring to the client, however, electrolysis is still the gold standard for permanent hair removal because it can beat any modality when it comes to hair structure, hair color, hair depth and skin color and permanent results.

When I get time, I need to look up the quotes that were provided and study the whole piece. These are interesting statements that I would like to review and hopefully, there are “meaty” citations to back up the statements.

Fino Gior is well respected. He knows about electrolysis and I appreciate this information, but wanted to add a few of my thoughts to this piece. Both modalities have helped the hairy and both modalities have negatives that we must confront. Just as important as highlighting the worst in what one has to offer over the other is to highlight how each has a place in this hair removal jungle and can live symbiotically with each other.

Now, convincing the consumer what is the correct choice for them personally is another challenge that we face daily here on hairtell. Most want what is perceived as the quick and easy way: LASER. Laser is not always the right choice, but they don’t believe us and are determined to ignore advice about scam products or laser not “seeing” fine or light colored hair. They don’t see electrolysis as an option because “it is too painful”, “too time-consuming”, “too expensive”, “too scarring”. We have to raise the standards of this profession so people walk away from every electrologists office saying, “Now, that wasn’t as bad as I heard it would be”.

That’s my take on why LASER is here to stay and why it is an alternative to electrolysis UNDER CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES ONLY. We haven’t kept all our marbles in place over the years so that electrolysis is an alternative to laser.

I might also add a huge thank-you to Andrea for keeping hairfacts and hairtell up and running. The act of providing a place for consumers to meet, study and think has provided millions of confused hairy people with the opportunity to get priceless information and psychological help for their unwanted hair.
