New Electrologist on the Block

[color:#000099]Hello everyone,

When I was thirteen, I was diagnosed with PCOS. Excessive hair growth on my face was just one of the many symptoms I had. Low self esteem was prominent. Electrolysis on my face changed my life.

A few years ago, I contemplated a career as an electrologist. I knew that it would be deeply rewarding. It soon became a dream to help people achieve better self esteem and that dream for me is coming true. I am a certified and very passionate electrologist.

I also have just opened my business in Ottawa, Ontario.

I have the same passion. I have spent many hours on this site. Over two years ago I met someone on HairTell. This person gave me the information I needed as a do it yourselfer. He didn’t really give me the answers to my questions, he gave what I needed so I could figure out the information I wanted on my own. He steered me in the right direction. Thanks James

I didn’t tell many people what I was doing because I am a male. Well now thanks to the encouragement form James and a few other people. Can’t forget my instructor her staff and fellow students. I have completed my electrolysis schooling. I just received my letter in the mail that I passed my state of Wisconsin exam. I am an electrologist for real.

I am Looking forward to learning more in this field and helping people who want permanent hair removal.

My office will be in Wausau Wisconsin.

Willie Sedlar

Congratulations, Willie from Wausau, Wisconsin and Welcome to the electrology profession. It is nice to have men joining this female dominated profession. You will love performing a service that literally changes peoples lives for the better. There are very special moments involved when we observe the transformation that takes place as a client gradually feels a change happening for the better to their appearance.

Where is Wausau? Are you set up with a good epilator?

Dee

Willie,

Hats off to you!!! I’m glad that there are others who share so passionatley in this field. Is Wausau a small town?

Love to hear about the progress of your business come to life!

I have an Apilus senior II with the IMMPAC upgrade. Some day I will have a Platinum.

I use loupes and I am sure I am the only one for many, many miles with a surgical microscope.

Wausau has about 80 thousand in the local area. If you look at Wisconsin, Wausau is in the dead center of the state.

You’re good to go, Willie! I tried James’s stereo microscope and liked it. It does take some time to get use to and I will probably explore that option for myself someday. Which set up do you use? the loupes or the microscope?

I use both. Right now the room I am in is just to small to get my microscope into the space and maneuver it properly. If I get into a new office I will make sure I can use the microscope. I did some modifications to to the scope to make if user friendly but with 10x magnification in the eye pieces and 3 more adjustments on on scope itself I can see very well. I like the scope for white or blond hair but I can’t use it right now which makes things a little tough. I don’t have many clients yet so it is not a big deal.

Welcome to our world Veronica and Congratulations Willie!

Psst, hey Willie. Didn’t you get so spoiled by that stereo microscope that going back to the loupes makes you feel somewhat abused? I know that I am just too spoiled to do much of anything with a circle lamp at this point.

I sold my circle lamp for $20 a long time ago. Talk about eyestrain, backstrain and neck aches, circle lamps offer very little advantage for a professional electrologist who removes 5,000 ++++ hairs a day.

Circle Lamps are much more useful when used on paper, and craftwork than they are in electrolysis.

I still use my circle lamp for a light. I am looking for a high intensity lamp. That is my next purchase.

5000 hairs a day SOME DAY!!!
