Nerve damage

My wife’s last appointment left her foot with numbness and lasting nerve pain. Is this normal, is it from something else, or is because of her sensitive skin?

How long after treatment did this last? I remember when I was getting treatments on my feet and toes I would feel unpleasant jolts and leg twitches. But that feeling would go away soon after treatments. Nerves run all over bodies and some areas are more sensitive than others.
I never heard of nerve damage from electrolysis.

It seems to still be going on after almost a week. I have looked online and it is almost unheard of.

If there is lingering swelling, that can be putting pressure on the nerves. I don’t think it is lasting damage. Is she a pre-diabetic or a diabetic? If so, probably should not be messing around with a lower extremity.

No apparent swelling. Do diabetes of any kind but she is autoimmune.

That is beyond my scope to even guess if autoimmune disease can cause this. Keep observing and maybe watch what the shoes can be doing to interfere with the healing. I do many toes and healing happens quickly, with no complications, if common sense aftercare is followed well for about 5-7 days.

I see, it seems particularly rare whatever it is. I have been icing it and massaging it. Any other recommendations?

I recommend you leave the treated area alone. Massaging it and using ice could further irritate it.
