Needing expert advice about my treatments

My name is Pete. I am getting treatments from a light sheer diode on my buttocks region from the UNC Laser and Aesthetic Center. Only in between my butt checks, and where they meet the back of my legs. I am doing this because the thick hair was always itchy and uncomfortable.

I need help because I worry my treatments aren’t going successfully.

I have had one treatment and after 12 days I do not have a lot of hair shed. Most of it is still there, and it is very uncomfortable and itchy. I can hardly sit. I was hoping it would all shed out to give me a period of having no hair there between treatments. This is not the case right now.

The technician used the method where she slid the head of the laser to administer the treatment. When I left, I could still feel some prickly patches of hair in the treated area,

I need guidance as to how I can assure that I will get good quality treatment. Please respond and I will provide any additional information that you might need to help me.

Thanks,
Pete

Please read the FAQs. You need to give it 3 weeks before judging shedding. If hair is growing as usual during week 4, then you may have a problem.

Please find out what settings they are using - spot size, joules and pulse width. Also, need to know your skin type. Impossible to judge settings without this information.
