Needed changes to the forum's format

1- spellchecker
2- extended editing ability
3- PM features for all memebers

Don’t you guys agree??

As far as spell check, since everyone using a computer has a mail service, or word processing program with this build in, it is a waste of valuable web resources to duplicate this when you could just write it in your WP, spell check it there, and then cut and past to the box here. Of course, if more people clicked to feed the kitties, with that request, maybe it would be more viable.

Although I agree on the extended editing ability, it has been decided that to keep the forum as a document of what was said, one has only a chance to edit for a short time so people don’t go back and add or delete things to change history so to speak. You will find many places in the forum where people have deleted their post weeks or months later, and no one knows what they said anymore. Also, editing a post doesn’t put it back in the active topics list, even though there has been a change.

As for the PM’s, I don’t remember why that feature was disabled. For now, people who list their email address in their profile can exchange emails at will. Maybe that is another kitties link program.

Lots of people have already found my email address at ExecutiveImages at AOL dot com.

I hope Andrea will fine tune this discussion past my limited ability to answer here. After all, I don’t know nothing about no web building Miss. Scarlett.

Spellchecker on the way. Editing to be increased for a couple of days for non-Premium members. Private messaging turned on.

Hi Andrea

Glad to see the spellchecker finally - well done! I am sure you remember I was one of the first to bleat and complain about the lack of this. Nobody wants to jump from wp programs to their favorite forums when the forum can simply have a spellchecker! Good work - I support you on this one.

Yes, Stuart, but it still won’t recognize as a correct phrase when I write “ag nee man”!

Hi Andrea

Yep, it won’t do much for that or for “oak, jy het te veel hare op jou rug!” , but it’s good to see it anyway.

Regards
Stuart

1- spellchecker
If you use Mac browsers (any), there’s a built-in spell checker, just turn on the “Check Spelling as You Type” in Edit menu.
