I just wanted to know the difference between a laser and an IPL. I am an estheticianm but I am just now getting into lasers. We have the gentlelase and gentleyag and I wanted to know the main differences between them and an IPL.

GentleLASE is an alexandrite - good laser for light skin and dark hair.

GentleYag is a Yag – good for skin type darker than a IV and coarse hair. Not as good on fine hair, but the only safe option for darker skin types that won’t burn the skin.

IPL is an intense pulse light treatment machine. Most people report results take longer to achieve than with an alexandrite or a diode laser for example.
