Need some help...please

Hi,
my name is Rich and have had about 10 full body hair removal sessions using a soprano xl machine. typically I shave before my session… I go in, get treated and for two weeks or so the hair keeps coming…then I will shave and the hair regrowth slows down…or stays clear for 6 weeks. then it just comes back…maybe slightly thinner…but nonetheless comes back. I am ok with evrything eccept my back which doesnt repond so well. I get maybe 2 weeks of little growth and then it starts again. What setting should she be using? this is the area I am most concerend about…it was never to much hair…it just bothered me…now i am more conscience especially when someone runs thier hand across it I know they feel the prickly stuble…ughhhhh. my skin type is a 3 or 4… medium coarsness hair. the technician has two machines…a soprano xl which she has been using and I believe a yag…should I abandon the soprano on my back for a yag? Is the soprano a good machine?? Or is the soprano…not efficent for any long term results? a friend is suggesting a gentle ease machine?? should i just ask her to spend more time with the soprano…making more passes…cook me? I dont want to abandon the tech…but I want results.
any recommendations for nyc, queens area???
Thanks
Rich

First off, I am not a laser specialist, but I will try to offer some information.

Being that you are in NYC, I’m sure you have many choices for laser reduction. I know you like your tech, but perhaps you can get another opinion from Chris Karavolas at Romeo and Juliette in midtown Manhattan. He highly skilled and has a ton experience. He also has a great variety of lasers that are appropriate for every skin color.
His website is:

Over the years, as I follow the laser section, it seems that the Candela GentleLase products are quite powerful and highly effective, while the Soprano’s are not highly praised. Again, I am not an expert and I don’t know what the variables might be in your case.

Get another opinion. I just hope that your hair is not too fine for more laser after your Soprano therapy. Pictures, perhaps?
