Guys,
I am a guy here. I think type IV. I tan quickly, but my skin is relatively fair and I haven’t tanned my back & shoulders for years and years, so they’re really white.

I have few questions, please be patient with me and I am very thankful for you and this forum.

1- I don’t usually shave these areas. I assume I will have to before treatment. Should I expect for hair to fall after the treatment, like this I don’t have to shave it - I wouldn’t mind it to let it grow if it’s new hair coming out. But old shaved hair (will be sticking out) will fall right ?

2- Do these laser centers accept usually to do TEST AREAS. I am really AFRAID of burning/spots and so on. So if I want to avoid this, I can test it on an area. How long should I wait to know for sure that the laser did not cause discoloration ? Few weeks after ?

Skin type IV and worried about burning, you should start your test patches with an NDYAG Laser. A Diode may work as well but you need to find a center that has EXPERIENCE with Diode on Skin Type IV. Most Centers would do test patches. You can wait 1-2 days if you wish and go from there.
