I am a female, age 33, skin color brown. I have very thick hair on the chin and upper lips. I have been plucking the hairs for the last 10 years, and at times, also used razor, but they seem to grow thicker with time. Have a lot of ingrown hairs too.
I am planning to go for laser treatments. I would appreciate if anyone could recommend which laser to be treated with and the side affects of laser treatment (hyper-pigmentation etc.)
Help will be highly appreciated.
any Yag laser is the only type that should be used on your skin color. there are many Yags made by various manufacturers (GentleYag, Apogee, Coolglide, etc)

I would appreciate if anyone could tell the side effects of laser for my skin type.
with a Yag, you shouldn’t have side effects. It shouldn’t burn your skin or cause pigmentation issues. You should see redness for up to 1-2 days, but usually a couple of hours only, after the treatment. after that, you just wait for the shedding to occur within 2-3 weeks. whatever hair was treated properly should shed.
