Need Help, Laser screw up

Right, where do I start.
Okay I’m an Indian male living in the UK, I have always been very hair compared to my mates at a young age, I never felt like I could go into the jacuzzi etc at parties or go on holidays with my mates because I used to be embarrassed of my hair, so in April 2014 (2 months after my 18th birthday) I rushed into getting laser hair removal, at the time I only wanted my chest done but the clinic coerced me into getting a full body package as they assured me that I could achieve reduction in the arms and legs as well as the chest completely cleared. After a load of sessions, i started to notice stimulated growth in my upper arms, after a few more sessions the clinic severely burned me, this lead to arguments and disagreements which ultimately led me to leave and go to a different laser technician (thank god I did), when I met up with the new technician she told me that I had been receiving IPL treatments and that I had not actually been receiving treatment from the ND:YAG machine which was what my skin type IV needed. So I have begun treatment on my upper arms with her however the hair on my lower arms is now much longer and darker than it was before? So now I have the problem of there being a hard line on my arm whereas I didn’t used to have much/any hair on my upper arm, this is where I hope electrolysis can come into play. From what I know electrolysis tackles individual hairs, so therefore could an electrolysis technician get rid of the darkest hairs on my forearms just leaving the lighter ones and then could they remove this hard line to look more natural? This has had me very depressed for a long time as I haven’t worn a t shirt out in over a year as I look like an idiot.

An electrologist absolutely can selectively remove individual hairs to achieve the exact appearance that you want.

Do electro logistic generally know what they are doing to lessen the density? And to remove hard lines or will I have to do all the work in telling them which hairs to remove etc… I’ve found most laser technicians are clueless apart from the one who is treating me now who is a dermatologist herself.

Electrologists*

yes we do. It is sometimes difficult to thin in dense hair . This is something I commonly face with transgender folks, who want the hair to seem to fade away rather than cleared patches. The electrologist is able to pick and choose exctly what hairs to remove and do so as a progressive process. We can see the big picture as it’s being done.

Okay that’s very encouraging! When researching whether i could thin using laser every technician was umming and ahhing, I will use laser to clear the bulk of the upper arm as it seems to be working with the new laser and then use electrolysis for the fade! I am excited to be able to wear a t shirt in public again
