need a recommandation in san diego..

Hi all…
Iam trying to find an electrologist in san diego area.I have met few of them and I was not impressed. What Iam trying to find out is that how would anyone knows if the electrologists is professional.Do they answer all your questions before paying for any session or do u go for a session and then find out more ?
I have read how to find an electrologist, but no one seemed willing to answer all my questions .
I appreciate any suggestions.

Speaking for myself, my initial consultation is free. Questions are answered and I give the client all pertinent information on time needed, sensation, actual proceedure, hair growth cycles, hygiene, equipment, etc. A sample treatment is given as well. The consultation takes about 45-60 minutes.

I will even give my price schedule over the phone, even though that practically means nothing, and I will answer some questions. I cannot say everything I need to explain over the phone, nor should I try. More importantly, it is unfair to expect an electrologist to get too detailed with you over the phone because she/he can’t see your problem and you can’t sample the treatment they have to offer you. If you call while they are working on someone, you shouldn’t expect a 20 minute conversation, as many of us are working on tight schedules and it irritates the client as well who is waiting on the table for you to resume treatment.

Scheduling a consultation is the proper way to go for you and the electrologist. Most offer free consultations, but you can ask whoever you call if they charge for their consultation. That would be an appropriate question. Then actually go to their office and check it out. Pull out the index card with all your questions, too. If the electrologist advises you to visit www.electrology.com and www.hairtell.com and www.hairfacts.com before your consultation, ALL THE BETTER ;).

I live for this.

In San Diego, without a doubt, I can recommend Wendy at New Image Electrolysis Center, 7677 Ronson Rd., #200, at 1-858-565-1171. There are three electrologists there. All great, but I’d ask for Wendy by name. To me she is numero uno. Her machinery is state of the art. She is professional. Her office is clean. She has high standards for herself. She’s honest in evaluations. And as someone who has had eighty or so various sessions, she has earned my respect. Her schedule is one of the busiest though, people call in to fill her cancellations. I have weekly appointments set up two months in advance. You may have to work into her schedule at first, but then you’ll get to get better time slots as time goes on. I’ve never seen an ad for her clinic, all business comes in word of mouth.

Thanks all for replying . I wish I knew about windy before . I called the office and talked to Rochelle , she is very informative and very nice but she set me up with Debi because her schedule is full ,Debi is nice but every question I asked her she would go ask rochelle and then answers ,after a couple of questions she said ,I only know how to take the hair out , and said how do you know all that, plus , there is no investment in a machine.
Is it proper to call again and ask this time for windy?
