My strange beard

Hello everyone,

I’m sorry if my question was asked before.

I’m a male in his mid-twenties and I face two major “problems” with my body hair:

  1. My cheeks and neck are almost smooth of beard, yet the beard on my chin and upper-lip area is way too thick. I don’t shave for week and people tell me how much they love my french beard. Can electrolysis fix (dilute) this and give me a much more “even” beard?

  2. I have a very thin (fluffy) hair on my torso that won’t respond to laser treatment. Am I a hopeless dreamer to think electrolysis is the best solution? I know it’s something that takes a while (is that an understatement?), but I’m willing to invest my money and time. What is the best way doing it… I mean, where do I even start?

Thank you,
N.

I would suggest doing nothing at the moment. Your beard will continue to “fill in” for the next 15 years, and you will have a more developed beard. You are REALLY lucky that you have little hair on the cheeks and neck; these are the areas that most guys have trouble shaving and want removed.

Furthermore, electrolysis is not an “easy procedure” to endure and takes multiple sessions. I would think you would probably need 10 - 20 hours to fully remove all the beard hairs in the area (I know you don’t want to do that, I’m just giving you some tangible data).

I am currently thinning out the upper lip area of a male, who tweezed there in the past, in an attempt to thin it out himself. It is quite easy for me to identify which hairs have been interfered with, as they are very obviously coarser and thicker. We both beleive, that when these have all been treated once, he will probably be satisfied with perhaps some additional minor shaping. He just wants to recreate a natural appearance, oncemore. Anyway,do not be tempted to tweeze and as Michael has already stated, you will likely have a greater density of hair later. Perhaps shaping the cheek areas, and tidying the neck, could be a good way to go.
