I had a session of laser hair removal yesterday with the light sheer duet. This was my 3rd session with this machine. It wasn’t really working so the tech raised the settings. What the settings were I have no idea. She also had the machine do a double pulse instead of a single pulse. It hurt wayyyy more than usual but nothing excruciating. Today I went to hop in the shower and I saw red on my elbows. I thought it was maybe from my sweater cause I was wearing a red sweater but I saw my skin was gone on part of my elbow. Its about the size of half a dime but the skin is like completely gone. Not a burn or anything but like no skin there whatsoever. It doesn’t hurt or anything which is why I didn’t notice. I also have brown scabs around the area. I’m assuming that’s from burns as well. My other elbow has a small spot where the skin is gone too but not as big. I have scabs in that area too. I have no idea what to put on it. I just showered and put warm water on those areas to keep it clean but no soap or anything. What can I put on it? I don’t want to put anything on that will harm me. I have aloe vera, witch hazel, tea tree oil, typical stuff in a medicine cabinet but I don’t know what to use.
Not sure what you mean by “wasn’t really working.” Also confused why your elbows were treated, given hardly anyone has coarse dark growth there.
Don’t put anything on the lesions unless they open up. If they do, you can apply a topical antibiotic like Neosporin.
Double passes aren’t necessary. Sounds sketchy. I’d call and get a refund.
What area did you treat exactly?
If you think your skin is burned, treat it as you would any burn or bad sunburn, i.e. aloe vera gel (clear stuff). You can get more serious stuff from a dermatologist. You should really talk to the clinic.
Legs, bikini, brazilian, stomach, and lower arms. That’s why there’s a burn on my elbows cause she did my lower arms.
