My sister's electrolysis diary

Hi max,

She doesn’t really say much. I’m sure she’s happy enough. She didn’t bleach for ages because she didn’t think she needed too. It was myself that analysed the area and told her that the next stage of growth is coming through.

I’m a much more harsh critic to be honest. My sister seems very laid back and as long as it’s gone eventually, she’s happy. She is a little bit concerned about the pigmentation on the arm (obviously, later her whole arm will look like that) but I tell her that if she has to cover them for a few months to hide it, it’s the price for being hair free.

I think it’s going well, I’m sure more hair will come through in the next two months but I imagine it will be a fraction of the amount treated. I trust in Josefa’s work that all those hairs treated initially are gone for good.

Oh how I wish I was laid back about my hair, I think I only have a fraction of what your sister has. I can understand her worries about pigmentation though, but like you said, she can always cover her arms for a few months, much easier to do than hiding hairs on the face.

I’ve been looking at many of Josefa’s pictures on here, & I’m beginning to feel once again hopeful that I’ll eventually be rid of the hair…if only I could get a slot in Josefa’s busy schedule. I’ve proposed a couple of dates, & haven’t heard back yet, but I remain hopeful.

Hi all,

It’s that time again. It’s been over 4 months since my sister saw Josefa. We are going again soon.

I took some photos to show the areas. Other than bleaching there was no trimming of hairs, so you can see that some of the sideburn ones are quite long. I trimmed them a bit after taking the photos though.

And a reminder of how they looked before treatment and in the days after the first treatment:

I am counting the minutes to give you and your sister a real and warm hug.

I looked on the before picture on the first page and on the picture 4 months after and allmost lost the breath :open_mouth:

Wow, magnificent work!

Josefa - same here

Miro - it’s amazing, isn’t it? I hope your electrolysis is going well.

They look fantastic…I bet your sister is so pleased. Thanks for sharing her journey with us, and yours too Stopit. Almost a month today and I’ll be seeing our wonderful Josefa…I’m so excited!!!

Really? That’s great! So happy for you; finally there is some light at the end of the tunnel.

It’s partly thanks to you Stopit, all your updates and our private correspondence that actually made me decide to take the plunge and approach Josefa…for that I’m grateful, thank you!

Amazing results!

Looking forward to read the updates on this thread

Yes, the result looks great, there is allmost no hair growing on the treated areas 4 months after :open_mouth:

Its going no way that well like shown by Josefa, so I decided to visit her. Im looking forward and counting the days

Predictable is the word to describe the results of Electrolysis.
30 minutes to finish the second clearance. Thank you Stoppit for the opportunity to check that again.

PS: These last 4 days will be difficult to forget for me too. By the way, your sister is sweet and funny creature I’ve ever met. I feel lucky to be her electrologist, she is becoming a beautiful butterfly and will soon have a skin as beautiful as yours (if possible).

Hi Josefa

I have just been taking photographs of the treatments to update fully soon. I just wanted to confirm for others the 30 minutes for the second clearance… it was amazing to see your prediction unfold even though I never doubted it.

You are the one removing her from her from the cocoon, with so much care.

I owe you chocolate with churros… delicious!

I’m not sure where to start, so perhaps with photos. After all, a picture speaks a thousand words.

My sister’s sideburn area. This was taken on Friday, treatment was on the Monday. We can see the area which had its second clearance and the area which had its first (greater density of scabs):

Upper lip, immediately after work:

She had about two hours over two days again on the upper lip. Josefa cleared it almost completely because the tiny black hairs were dense and making the skin look grey. The swelling lasted until Thursday but the area is virtually scab free. There are a few tiny scabs.

As before, I will continue to update this thread to show the healing of the skin and the regrowth. The latter of which I doubt there will be much given the results of the arm test patch she had in May.

Amazing photos!
You can’t see that she has had electrolysis on the upper lip!

Looking forward to read more updates

Hi J,

The Laurier probe was used on her upper lip (as everywhere else). Her upper lip is looking even better now. So clear. Josefa joked that she will be the least hairy girl alive on the upper lip, because she really did remove the tiniest, finest, black hairs.

Ah, thats what I thought. The Laurier probe seems almost free of temporary side effect! Brilliant

Wanna try it boy? Afraid of side effects?

I hope so, but I’ll let Josefa decide
Not afraid of side effects, but this probe makes electrolysis perfect when temporary side effects is almost eliminated as well!

No doubt the probe causes less unnecessary damage and therefore less reaction but these results were on the upper lip only. I don’t want to give anyone a false impression. I was equally impressed on the rest of the face because given the amount of treatment she had, the scabbing was minimal. I scabbed a lot more in the same areas, probably partly due to the density of hairs treated in those areas and the sensitivity of my skin.

The hands were also treated with the Laurier probe.

This is her hand 5 days later:
