I am in my mid 20’s and suffer from PCOS. Between the hormonal imbalance and the Hirsutism, my facial hair became unbearable!
I researched LHR facilities in the NY area and became very discouraged because the price quotes were outrageous, and the customer service I received was very poor. Finally, I came across a forum that had multiple positive reviews about Romeo and Juliette Laser Hair Removal.
I decided to visit them the following weekend and immediately starting receiving treatments there. FINALLY! Someone who knew about PCOS and took the time to listen to me, not bore me with a sales pitch.
Their customer service is outstanding, the facility is beautiful, very clean as well, and the staff is very helpful. The owner will work with you cost wise. I am a f/t college student and Chris has worked with me, which reinforces the fact that they are dedicated to customer satisfaction.
I feel like a new person. My face is smooth again, like when I was a teen. Last summer, I actually went to the beach and tanned some. Before LHR, I would steer clear of any/all activities that would highlight my face.
I feel it is important to remind other women with PCOS, to play a proactive role in taking care of their health. Not only to prevent other negative side effects (type 2 diabetes, etc.), but to get the most out of your laser hair treatment.
No more time (hours) wasted in the mirror plucking, shaving, sometimes bleaching (ouch), thick facial hair.
Feel free to ask me any questions, or write to me directly, especially those in the NYC area.
Side note: I’ve always thought about forming a support group with women who have PCOS and/or Hirsutism. If any other women are interested, contact me directly
