Rather than post on here, where I will be lost to the sands of time, I have decided to put up a laser hair removal journal on my personal website. I now have a page where you can view my laser pics, as well as my thoughts and observations about the process. The first page is now up and running, and I invite everyone to check it out.
No comments? Haha, I guess my pits aren’t exciting enough
Hi:
Your photos of the results are not showing up on that website. I can read the text however.
Alicia
Really? Hmmm. Shows up on mine. I wonder what I could have done wrong…
I can see them fine…
I can see the pictures perfectly, also.
Worked for me; I see two pics - a before and an after. I could see them two days ago as well. Your pits are darling my dear, but at this point all it shows is that you did not get much redness or swelling (and that you have brown hair, light skin) . But, keep posting and in a year, the record will show your progress and we can all see how well your treatments went…
I wonder if I didn’t have ENOUGH skin reaction. I had almost no redness or swelling or anything. I don’t want to get burned up, but I do want it to work.
hard to tell without knowing the settings. you can call them and ask if you’d like. a good reaction is redness around the follicles for a day or 2, but of course, reactions vary per person. considering you have brownish hair (not black), good settings are necessary for good results.
Interesting URL I won’t click on it at work though b/c the filter will throw red flags But will check when I get home.
Definitely post the machine used, as well as the settings They should keep a log so just call them and ask. They may also keep track of how may pulses were shot which is good to keep track of as well. Also how long did it take you to get the underarms done?
I don’t see going anywhere but my face with hair removal. It’s amazing what a few years on hrt will do to body hair I know it doesn’t effect underarm hair but I can keep epilating that area with no worries. My thick thick facial hair though… sigh makes me wanna cry

My face is totally clear now thanks to electrolysis. My body hair has thinned out a lot since my orchiectomy and with hormones, but I still have too much. I suspect it will continue to decrease over time, but want to hurry things along with laser.
I know it doesn’t effect underarm hair but I can keep epilating that area with no worries.
what doesn’t affect underarm hair? laser? it’s actually one of the easiest to treat with laser since it’s coarse. so if yours is black, it’s definitely an option and treatments are cheap since the area is small. i’ve had this done myself.
Just a little update…
It’s been over two weeks since my session. My underarms finally started to shed last week, though not all hair fell out. If I pull at the stubbled, more of it comes right out. None of the bad stuff I was afraid of happened (burning, scarring, etc.) Right now, it seems to have stopped growing. I know more will come in, though, before my next session. I can see a few spots they missed, since there are longer hairs there still firmly attached.

Nah not laser, was referring to hormones

I had some hairs still firmly attached up to 3 weeks after my face was treated the first time, then at the 3.5 week mark quite a few hairs let go So Just give it more time before thinking they missed it.
I’ve been bad and not updated this. I found out that my first treatment was done at 18 joules. The hair shed, but by the time I went back for my second treatment on November 8th, I had vigorous regrowth (which is to be expected.) So, the nurse cranked the machine up to 20 joules. I have very pale skin, and never tan, and had very little reaction after the first treatment. I can’t say it hurt much more, but then again I also have electrolysis so I am used to pain in pursuit of hair removal
The 20 joules seemed to work much better, in that I had complete shedding of all hairs. My second treatment was on the 8th of November, and I don’t go back until the 11th of January.
I am cautiously optimistic. My skin looks fine, with no burns or anything. If all goes well, I plan on getting much larger areas done. I am VERY pleased with Smooth Solutions, and feel they offer great service at a nice price. They really seem to know what they are doing, since they started me off on much higher energy than I’ve heard used at Ideal Image or similar. I’m having treatment with the Apogee Alexandrite.
I’ll post new pics soon.
