My diary : french girl

Hello everyone,

A few weeks ago I asked the members of this forum if they could help me find an electrologist in France.
Last week I had my first sessions of electrolysis with Adrien.
I will post in this thread pictures of the parts I treated before and after as well as keeping you update on their evolution.

As I’ve told in my first thread I’ve always had problems with hairs, and I was even prescribed androcur for no real reason as I doÅ„t have any hormonal issues. the only effect that androcur had was to ger things even worth when I stopped it later on.

So I recently decided to get more information on the solutions I could find to live my life without always thinking about my hairs. Last year I got information about laser bu as I have a dark complexion (mixed) I gave up.

Electrolysis seemed to be a good alternative.

So the areas I treated with Adrien are
First the arms from shoulder to elbow where I had long and dark vellus hairs and that I used to wax or depilate.
Secondly the face (sideburns and chin) where I had vellus hairs i’ve never touched but quite visible because long and dark (i had to dye them) but also thick hairs which came after androcur (As they were less than 15 I was used to take them off with tweezers)

The sessions were ok, I mean the arms were painful, especially near the shoulder, but the face was ok, not painful at all I must say !

I spent 4 days with Adrien.

1 day after my return, my arms are still big, and my face has swollen as well especially on the chin and on the sides near my mouth. It was painful yesterday but today is ok
On one of my arm, nextto the elbow, but not where hairs were treated, I have a little swelling I dont´ know why.

On my arms there are little brown scabs, darker than my skin and its starting to itch a little.

On my face, there are bumps, but no scabs and a few white head spots but tiny.

That’s it for the moment, i’m waiting for the pics that Adrien took to post them on this thread.

Hello everyone, here are the pictures of my face and arms before/ after the session. I will show you photos of the areas today later on.

I think all looks well and normal.

The scabs on your arm will fall off on their own as the wound heals from the bottom up. Do not pick them off. If these size of scabs were all over your face, I would say talk to Adrien.

Stay consistent. Don’t give up. The hair growth cycles have got to play out and that takes anywhere from 9 to12 to 18 months time. Stay committed to getting cleared.

Itching is a normal response after treatment for some people. Moisturize your skin and that should help. It will subside on its own if you do nothing.

Are you doing thermolysis or blend? What brand epilator is being used? Is it made in France?

All in all, it looks very promising!

Thanks for the pictures.

Thank you for posting this photos. I can’t see any scabs on the face so this is a pretty good sign.
As I said, scabs on your arm are completely normal. Keep applying the cream I show you.

Dee, I used Flash thermolysis with a Sorisa DE-6000 machine, this is a Spanish brand.

Great job, Adrien! Is there a brand epilator made in France, by chance? I’m thinking this is not the case.

You will be in high demand if you aren’t already.

Thank you Dee.
I think currently there is no French brand electrolysis machine. Here some dermatologists use a “diathermy knife” (electric knife ?) in order to destroy the hair follicles.

For the moment I have to be discreet because of the law…

Yes I still apply the cream, if I dont, the skin is really dry and itchy.

Why 12 months to have results? On my face i’ve never toucched the vellus, so why will it come again? And will it come back thicker ?

The hair which are removed by electrolysis will never ever grow back.

Hello everyone,

Here’s an update. My scabs are coming off my right arm (the first arm we treated), mainly when I apply the cream. Some of them are leaving lighter marks. It has been 1 week and 4 days since the first session.

Because there is a steady state of hairs falling out and new hairs growing. A full circle takes about a year. And that circle theoretically means that the visible hair can fully renew a few times during this circle. We can eliminate only those sticking out of the skin, and that’s a fraction of the actual amount of hairs to be treated.

In practice You’ll often see a first improvement pretty soon, but You will also notice that there will still a lot of work to be done.

So the hairs that have been removed will never come back but others can grow in the exact same place?

a properly treated hair will not grow back, however, we see hair follicles so close together that they have essentially merged, with 2, 3 or more hairs growing out of the same spot at the same time. It stands to reason that if those 3 hairs grow at slightly different times, it can appear to be the same hair that has already been killed, even if it is a completely different follicle underneath the skin causing it.

That’s correct. But except for some rare situations we cannot distinguish the exact positions of hairs, especially not from memory. Imagine there was a hair every 2 mm and now a new hair comes from 1 mm in between - You’ll probably feel this as “exactly the same position”
