multiple hairs one follicle?

So after buying myself a 5 diopter loop, I’m seeing things slightly more clearly now. It’s brought to light something I’ve not seen discussed here. I suppose I’ve noticed it before but never thought about it from an electrolysis angle.

On looking more closely through the lens, and practising making a “loop” with tweezers as described by Michael for the blend methd, I several times noticed less lengthly hairs that appear to be growing out of the same folicle. These arent moles or anything, just regular folicles.

Sometimes I can see several hairs in really close proximity, but at least far enough you can tell they are different folicles. But the ones my question is about, appear to be growing from exactly the same hole in skin.

Is this common? When treating in this situation is there anything special or different that should be done? Or are both hairs just tweezed as one once the treatment is complete? I’m assuming the depth of both hairs would be the same or similar but is that a realistic expectation?

Very common. More common in males i would say because our hormones cause more growth.

The depth isn’t always the same, you can have a couple of scenarios…

  1. Very thick hair and a fine thin hair each of which have different depths, more often than not you’ll kill the thick hair but not the fine hair.
  2. Two (or even three!) hairs growing out or in close proximity to each other but still share the same follicle, i’ve actually got three for the price of one on a couple of attempts.

For now thats really all i can think of but i’m sure theres more.
