Why do you post such lies on the net. I personnaly contacted Medicam after what you wrote and they explained that tHe fact that the name artradex appeared is because they just got a new telephone number that belonged to a previous company named artradex. You can check it , they have a 1-888 number. Be very careful. It is a very serious company and as far as i know, they never had any complain from anyone. As a proof, check their return policy! they don’t have any because they don’t want to fool anyone. Their policy is based on truth and good faith. The only guarantee that they propose is an upgrade in the 1st 60 days. Their customer service is by far the best on the net with a call response time within 15 minutes during work days but you will always talk to someone. They have laser technicians, technical department, sales support, customer service, etc… Do you really think that they can afford selling with 25% discount beeing global themselves. When did you ever see Global giving any discount? It is an incorporated company in Canada. Stop these lies or misjugements now please Andrea, you are not beeing fair with this comapny. I’m one of their customer and i’ve never delt with such professionals. The day i bought my machines, the 1st thing they told me is that it’ll take more time with their machines (12-14 sessions instead of 8-10) because they are not as strong as $100,000.00 ones and not to expect miracles. Call their 1-888 number and see who you are dealing with. You are not fair.

Just because it is another company! update your files Andrea and do not accuse them of something they are not! it is a Canadian based incorporated company. The unique owner, president and CEO is Mr Phil Amar. Be serious and check over the net the name: Medicam Inc in the Canadian government files! STOP ACCUSING THEM!

I just got a call from someone claiming to be the owner of Medicam at 514 994-2627. He told me they are not related to Global Electrolysis Supply but sell the same devices. He threatened various legal action. I told him to send me a list of what he considered inaccurate information on this site by email, and he refused. I told him to have his lawyer contact me, and I will report on the contents of that letter when (or if) I get it.

In the meantime, all consumers should avoid purchasing any products from Medicam. These devices are not cleared by FDA and have been on the market for many years. They are low power lasers, like the kind they use for laser pointers. There are many complaints about the devices they are selling.

WOW! I think that now you should be ready for legal action! Post someone’s personnal phone number online when he could have hidden it! Either you are out of your mind or you have a lot of money to spend. “What he considers inaccurate”? “the new name for Global …” that is inaccurate" his personal phone number! that is inaccurate. Centre Biotechnique Avance (CBA) has been discussed at length on this site.

Like other dubious hair removal products, Medicam offers distributorships as part of a multilevel marketing scheme.

The devices they sell are branded Quazar and apparently originate in the UK.

I should point out that kim_p’s email address is admin@medicam.ca, which explains why she is so excited about this product. It’s sold by her employer.

Thank You for your very detailed documentation of your dealings with this, one of our known scammers. This is the M.O. of most of our scammers, including Global/Vector. As everyone can see, even the settlement offer includes profit for the scammer (assuming they ever would actually pay up). The only real purpose of this is that IF you ever got them into court, they could still get out of it by paying you the settlement you have already agreed upon, and keep the court from making them pay you the full amonut. They follow the Feringhi Laws of Acquisition, whose cardinal rule is “Once you have their money, YOU NEVER GIVE IT BACK!”

One thing I want to point out, they usually want to make sure that you don’t get the item before 30 days has past, so that they can better protect themselves from your direct Credit Card refund rights. If the funds for this purchase were from a Credit Card, the CC would refund you and go after them as having committed CC fraud.

Anyway, because this is so typical of them, and you have kept such a great running dialogue, I am going to put your FULL experience here for others to read, even after your page may have shut down.

So people, when we tell you to only buy from the “Legitimate Machines Available On Ebay List” and when we tell you that a particular product is not worth your time, and when we tell you that a particular company is pond scum, LISTEN TO US, WE KNOW WHAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT!

SUMMARY: On July 2, 2005 I won a DMD6000 laser hair removal machine on eBay and sent payment right away via Paypal. After 2 weeks I contacted the seller by email to find out if my item was shipped. Paul Perel told me it would take 10-14 days from the time they received payment. On the 14th day I contacted the seller again, but he did not respond. I called the numbers on the website and continued to email him hoping for a response. Nothing. Finally, after waiting almost one month I emailed the seller asking him to refund my money because I no longer wanted the item. He responded quickly with a FedEx tracking number. I was also concerned about his negative feedbacks and wished I had taken them into account from the beginning.

I asked the seller not to ship the item before it left his office, but he shipped it anyway. I told him I would reject the package when it came and that I would pay for the shipping along with any Paypal, eBay, and Customs fees. They said they wanted 35% return fee. Even though there is no return policy that states this rediculous return fee in his auctions, a fair refund was out of the question. After trying to resolve the matter directly with Medicam, I had no choice but to file a dispute with Paypal. I won the dispute, but Medicam withdrew their money and closed their Paypal account and I didn’t get my money back even after they agreed to send me back a refund minus $500 to cover their cost. Now they only accept bank wire transfers, bank certified checks, and money orders in their auctions. I am still working on getting my money back. I have an attorney working on the case and I’ve filed claims with eBay, IFCC, BBB, FDA, and local Canadian police department.

The machine was sent back to the seller by FedEx, he put it back up on eBay and kept my money

shipping costs ($65x2), ebay fees ($60), and actual
customs fees. I will need proof of actual customs fees
so I can verify it with customs. Clearly 35% is just
way too high. So please send me customs invoices or
receipts and I will gladly pay for these fees.

This is all very frustrating to me because I asked you
not to ship the product after waiting one month. It
is your fault that you shipped the item after I said
not to. In your ebay auction, there were no return
policies or anything that says you do not accept
returns. I actually do not consider this a return
since I never actually received and opened the package
and requested for this not to be shipped in the first
place.

cannot have an open
dispute.
So in order to be able to have the refund done could

Paul,

After speaking with paypal on the phone today, they
informed that a refund can be given at anytime and
that my dispute should not and must not be cancelled
until it is resolved with a refund. They also informed
me that when you refund my money your 3% paypal charge
is refunded to you. The same goes for ebay fees.

Once I receive a refund from you, I will gladly close
my dispute claim with paypal, and we can put this
behind us.

We just got off the phone with paypal and they said
that you may refund at anytime even if there is a
claim. Also, they said you should email them through
your paypal account with the agreed refund amount for
the dispute claim. If a refund is not made and you do
not send the email to paypal, I will be awarded the
full refund amount. So it is up to you now to refund
me the agreed amount, or Paypal will step in. My
following email that I send you, is what paypal sent
me a few moments ago.

Oh no! I just found this site today as I became suspicious of Medicam and began searching around. I wish I found this site before I dealt with Medicam. I just paid Medicam $2,480 end August via electronic wire transfer. Phil told me they do not accept credit cards anymore because the credit card companies charge them a 3% charge. I’m getting nothing but the royal run-around from Paul when I call about the machine I purchased. They led me to believe it was in stock and after the transfer was made it would be shipped out without delay. 2 days later I phoned Medicam back. Paul told me due to hurricane Katrina they have not received their delivery from their mid-west source. Every time I call I am promised he will phone their plant and have my machine shipped directly to me and email me with a tracking number. I’m getting nothing and nowhere and no emails or tracking numbers. I took a chance at starting a home business and gave them what little money I left in my bank. Please somebody tell me this is not a scam?! I have no idea what to do if this is a scam and from what I have seen posted here it appears as though nobody is getting anywhere. I ran a search on this company at the BBB and they showed nothing on this company - absolutely zip, so I thought they were ok. Why doesn’t the BBB have any info on this company at all???I’m sick to my stomach if this is really a scam. Is anyone doing anything or getting anywhere or taking any action? I have no idea what options I have now that an electronic wire transfer has been made to them. Someone help please? Thanks javelin

The reason they no longer accept Credit Cards, is your credit card company will give you the money back in this situation (they have never delivered a product) and they will get their money back from the scammers in the end.

Now wire transfers, cashiers checks and cash are just gone, and gone for good. (Unlike your unwanted hair treated with this device)

Wire transfer or not I have my Bank receipt of the transfer and saved all the correspondence between Medicam and me.

(If by some miracle Medicam delivers my machine in the condition it is supposed to be in and the machine works AS advertised on their site or if they give me a FULL refund I will be sure to tell you about it. But from what I have read here and heard via direct email from one “victim” that does not seem likely…particularly now that they’re giving me the royal run-around. IF the machine does arrive here, I will be sure to open that package in the presense of at least 2 witnesses to be certain that it is in mint condition.)
