MEBEVERINE

Hi guys one out of the blue I get IBS very rarely around 18 months ago I had it terrible and was prescribed MEBEVERINE I took it solid for 6 months and was prescribed it again but really didn’t need to take it 3 times a day as I did originally weened down to twice then once and then now I just get it once in a blue moon maybe once every 3 months if I get a horrid stomach pain and constipated. I took some yesterday and day before due to pain and hard stools then woke up today to find a dark hair on my chin and now one on my nipple I only went for an electrolysis session around 12 days ago and normally don’t get hair back for 4-5 week.
Looking online I have read that facial hair in women is a rare side effect to this medication and wondered whether the medication could have coursed the hair to come back sooner? My hair issues all started around 18 months ago but I did come off the contraception pill around the same time too.
Anyone else had a similar experience with IBS tablets or am I just putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 5 lol.
Just wondering if I should avoid taking these tablets from now on and look at alternatives.

You seem to be getting hair from the hormonal changes that occurred due to the meds and who knows what your dietary habits are adding to this mix.

IBS can be a memory with a lifestyle change. Raw food, Gersen therapy, or a healthy vegan program lasting for a week to 30 days would be a great start. Making sure you get enough fiber every day and eat on a schedule where your metabolism keeps working should be a lifetime change that you don’t go back on.

Thanks I used to be a vegetarian and was hospitalized due to anemia I therefore don’t really want to go down the vegan route. I have illuminated milk from my diet and cut right back on any wheat. Guess I’ll have to look at other foods that maybe triggering me and get rid of the tablets.
